Leveling my RDM to 20 (gotta have that chocobo!) and then switching my main job to BLM. It's so much easier to level than RDM.

... Possibly because BLM is a walking nexus of death, but whatever. I can three-shot DC's and solo T's. Easy xp ftw!

I got Sneak Attack this morning and I love it. If I switch to sword and stack SA with Fast Blade, I can one-shot EP's in La Theine for 75xp or so (with emp-band active). Come ooooon, level 30!

How do you get the timing down on that? I could never manage to pull it off short of macroing the specific weaponskill in. It always ended with me wasting the SA on a normal hit :/

What's the problem with using macros? That's how you're supposed to do it.

Nothing wrong with macros, I just thought there was a way to do it without it and that I just couldn't pull it off because I couldn't time it correctly.

Been camping quite a bit last 2 days whenever I wasn't leveling something or in Dyna. Soloed Sweet Syrup on my RDM for Jelly Ring, was my first real solo after I dinged 75 so that was an interesting and at one point, scary experience since I messed up at one point, but a lucky non-resist Bind gave me time to get alittle rest in and Convert and salvage it, got the drop too thankfully.

On a whim went to check and see if Morbolger was up in Ordelle's, and sure enough he's just waltzing around in his room. Kill him for the vine, then go 1/1 on Nue and Deadly Dodo the same day(Nue popped right after the first tiger kill, I spent like 5 hours trying to pop DD twice though, first time losing claim). Got the 2 Ram Horns today so I got my Purple and Brown Belt done for whenever I level Monk.

What, SAWS? It's pretty simple; the thing is that you just make sure the mob doesn't turn. The only tricky thing is getting close enough behind a mob to activate a WS without getting so close that you start swinging at it and turn it.

Sackholder took offense to me arguing with him over a technical point in LS chat (no profanity, etc., just some all caps, ooh bad evil), and then made an idle threat about breaking my pearl in /tells. (Refer to Pet Peeve #1: People) At that point all interest in playing the game left me. I logged back in a few days later to pick up my BLM puppet head and clean up my inboxes, then I cancelled my IDs before the month ended.

I wasn't too happy anyhow that nobody wanted to help me with anything. Hey, can I have help with some of these Zilart battles? Yeah, wait for some of the other people who need it (and haven't even logged on in over a week or are EU, when most of the shellholder's buddies play late-night NA) to be ready, because we already have sky and we're too busy farming sky or doing dynamis or einherjar or some other shit to help you get up here. (Took me two months to get ZM6. And it was an easy 4-man fight.) This when I often helped other people with what I could. Remind me why I carry this pearl thing around again?

And then a week later RL started giving me a few interesting events too. More interesting than SE rehashing the same things year after year, that's for sure.

Even better, from what I've been seeing, this update that everybody has been waiting four months for looks to be pretty lame, aside from that "synergy" thing, which looks like augments minus the fail of randomness, because you can throw them away without wasting an item. Oh yeah, and the anti-tellspam fix which will surely have some sort of fail in it.

Oh, I was wondering why I haven't seen you post lately. Not that I want to turn this into a Pet Peeve thread, but that LS technicality thing vaguely recalls an experience I had before going on break for the last 2 months where I somehow started an argument about LS rules and had to excuse myself for a while. Apparently, it's wrong to say "porn" around one of the LS father's 13 year old daughter. What I said wasn't even particularly lewd. I was just talking about a movie I saw, and one funny scene in it:

"There's a funny scene where the ghost shows the new kid at the boarding school where he hid his porn magazines before he died."

And that's it. But apparently enough for somebody to get angry at me for saying something indecent around his daughter. At least my other LS responded a little more positively:

"( '-')b now that's a buddy right there. Helping his friends find reference materials even in the afterlife"

I know how you feel, I just recently was thrown out of my long time LS for "rubbing people the wrong way" even tho I helped everyone that asked for it and received very little in return. In retrospect, I was on zm5 for 2 months, and after I joined my new LS, i was up in sky a week later. In fact, since I have joined my new LS, i have gone up 1 rank, unlocked sky, unlocked the northlands, done nyzul isle runs, went up a rank in Assault, killed the mammets and Diabolos and unlocked dreamworld, and done a few salvage runs. All in my new LS. So really, getting "thrown out" of that LS that didnt help me with anything was a blessing in disguise.

Got Dyna-Beau clear and also got a mnk relic body for my 73 monk. Although playing corsair at the moment with no room to farm or get any gil income, kind of hinders the chance to regear monk or even play it.
