Spent most of the weekend taking BST from 0 to 14. It took my third 2hr before the pet lasted the whole half hour, and I kept it around for another hour or so after that before it got killed. (The first time I died when an orc snuck up behind me, and the second time the pet got killed at 15 minutes.) And I did it all with no FoV buffs, just a Protect Earring, and my usual gimp gear. I was able to keep up with DC/EM mobs. Toughs were just too iffy with the chance of losing charm during the fight.

I was hunting in E. Ronfaure and La Thiene, but I came in from Selbina and picked up FoV page 1 on the way out. I died and reraised and lost all my buffs on the way to E. Ronfaure, then paid to set HP at the zone line. It took me all evening before I was finally able to get to the Grass Funguars, but I did it. Hopefully the update will have more FoV books in less inconvenient locations, but now I'm at the point where I can do page 1 for a level or two before being able to stay in the dunes.

Our LS leader was camping rams all weekend for Purple Belt to unlock Brown Belt, and eventually succeeded. Since I already had Rampaging Horn from a chance encounter while farming rams for crafting, I took a WHM75/RNG01 detour through La Theine between BST sessions. It took me a couple of wide scans to notice Lumbering Lambert, but I got him with only one pass through the ram area. A few more gil and +1 inventory for me. And Brown Belt quest unlocked if I ever want to try MNK.

Also got my 30th K-seal while trying to get an Ugg coffer key. I must have killed at least 40 Temple Bees, and still no key drop, but at least half a dozen K-seals. (And oddly, no B-seals.) What's more annoying is that I actually found the coffer in an accessible place while trying to figure out where the bees were, but it's surely been re-popped may times since then.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I got a Desperado Ring from a locked chest while doing BST. That's like my fifth or sixth rare/ex from a locked chest so far.

Ding'd SAM 41-46 this weekend... also sold a bunch o' old gear and farmed a bit to buy some Luisant's foot gear for cheaper than most of the going prices.

Got a Haraldr's (spelling?) neck piece while duoing in Beaucedine out of a FoV chest... perfect for my SAM

Got all CS's outta the way to do the fights for CoP 5.3 ... talk about a long treck. Thank god I had the sense to map out the best route to do em all at once with the help of a Federation Collar (Windy Choco-stagles warp item)

Helped someone do Basty 2.3 ... um thank the gods I chose Sandy... OMG!!! Palborough Mines, (Basty's Ghelsba equivalent) is like 3 times further ... then the BCNM area in that convoluted zone is slightly annoying to navigate to when you're totally unfamiliar to the place. But hey... it put me right in the area to ... duh duh duh DUH!!!!! acquire the North Gustaberg OP... wow... last week it was W. Sarutabaruta .. this week I get the Leaping Lizzy OP I'm pretty happy... just realized I only have Volbow outta the regular OPs to get ... and Sandy has that too this week. When Sandy gets Tavnazia again, all i'll need is that Sky(?) one.

Forgot... I put the first(only) merit into Dancer's Saber Dance. Haven't had the chance to try it out. Was gonna see how it may speed up my farming ... daggers... ugh.

Busy day today

Alchemy 25 to 28 (And I almost have the 200k gil I spent to get alchemy to 28 back ^_^)
Smithing 0 to 14 (And somehow made a profit doing so O.O)
Woodworking 0 to 2 (Yay only 14 more levels and I can make crossbow bolts)
Wings of the Goddess Mission 7 done (Duo'd it with a PLD/RDM I was WHM/SCH. Really fun fight)

Almost got CoP 2-5 but we died with the last bloody mammet at 1%. Party was WHM/SCH, SMN/WHM, PLD/WAR. COR/RNG. NIN/WAR, SAM/WAR. The PLD got the COR, SAM and NIN killed via AoE spam by accidentally locking the last mammet as a BLM. So Evoker's Roll wore on me (WHM/SCH) and the SMN. We ran out of ethers, yag drinks and eventually ran out of MP in the end so the PLD died. Basically I ended up having to kite the last one around while the SMN rested enough MP to activate her 2 hour (dunno why she hadn't done so yet). SMN died just before the last Tidal wave went off (Yay for the Mammet still being in BLM mode and refusing to change!) and I got stunned out of the Banish which probably would have knocked off the last 1% of it's health.

The lesson here kids? For the love of Altana please pay attention to what mode the Mammet is in before you try to lock it. If you think it's in DRG mode and you see it casting a spell then it's clearly not in DRG mode X_X

EDIT: Oh and does Prishe ever stop being annoying or do I have to put up with a Jerk Mary Sue for the entire CoP line of missions?

Went from cop 2-4 to 3-3 last night/this morning.

Mammet fight was brilliant. fought our way through the riverine site, got aggro from a couple of hyppograph otw but we just sleep 2 and ran for the spatial displacement. The Fight was pretty routine Party was Nin/war, Sam/Nin (me), War/Nin Rdm/Whm, Whm/Blm, Rdm/Whm.
Me and the War took one, Ninja and a rdm took the middle and a Rdm kited the third (Ruis u rocked) Murdered our mammet and went to help the rdm, our only problem was it swapped to blm and after a few aoe blm spells I started shouting Silence the dam thing as our mages must have missed the change.

At 10% the last one used the transmogrification move so every one healed it a bit with physical attacks before we noticed. all turned out backs on it and the mages nuked away.

Rdm had a try at hitting it and damaged it so I ran in with a taci enpi for the win. great fun.

Also soloed the malboro NM on 3-3 and going to try the Antilon tonight on Sam/Blu for stun when it tries to run away

Was allowed to come to limbus as melee rdm. Frankly my performance was pathetic even with the borrowed blau, but in my defense Central Temenos 1st isn't exactly a great test since everything in there has damage reduction from either piercing damage or magic damage. I also thoughtlessly ate the kabob my friend passed me rather than the sushi I had on me so my acc was suck. But! The important thing is I was allowed to do it and our leader said I could do it again after composure comes out to check the difference. <3 my shell.
