Well thank you Mezlo but, for now, there isn't a button. The forum has been stripped to its basics so all the little fancy graphics and addons are gone for now. Ping (site owner/admin) is working on jazzing it up though so I'm sure all of those things will be back asap.

So I've been slightly down or glum if you will... SE has repeatedly just beaten me with the it's big ole sh!tty stick since right about when I got my Dancer to 74 (now well into 75 meriting)... so a coupla months I've just been smitten by the Gods to endure AFK parties of failure and helping unprepared/ignorant people... too many to list so that's the the generalization of failure.

Anyway I'm out in La Theine (where I never level) solo/level'n my BLM (13) on a whim... I've really neglected growing any mage classes. I'm out in the middle of absolutely nowhere in the zone and a total stranger, Harleydavidson, from really far away /checks me. Now I usually don't ever respond to /checks but this time ... I /wave. Dude /waves back. I keep on nukin' crap. Bout 2min later....

HD-"How long ya been playin'"

Me-"oh bout 1/2 year"

HD-"How much gil ya got?"

... now I'm waiting for either A) "lend me gil" OR B) plug for a RMT site (I've never gotten one) so ... what ever... I'm honest.

me-"I've only ever had bout 200k at a time, but now I only have just over 100k"

HD-"I'm leaving the game and I want to give you the rest of my gil"

me-"huh... what? wow... really?"

... he tells me a bit more and to meet him at the La Theine/Valkurm zone ... So this RDM gives me the rest of his gil... not a vast crazy fortune but it's way WAY more than I've ever had EVER and really really really made my day. So ... since I've been so damn unsuccessful at getting it on my orb... with what he gave me and what I had been saving... Utsutsemi: Ni is mine with a lil extra...

I killed my greatest NM that day... and it was with a /wave.

The SE gods were truly looking out for me cuz I then zoned into the Dunes to /check mobs. Since they were IT, I zoned back to La Theine and got a Carbuncle CS cuz I carry the ruby everywhere. I askt anyone on LS if there were any xtreme weather patterns, someone says Dunes just went Fire... so I zone back into the Dunes and get the final CS where Carbuncle breaks the ruby... so I wandered over to the ??? and finally got my SMN job...

I really didn't believe my luck... I didn't think I was actually playing FFxi ... things never happen to me like that. I'm used to punishment. Like "Yes, sir. May I please have another" type crap.

I'll be toasting Harleydavidson for years tho... freakin' years ... <3

My latest accomplishment?

My 360 is alive again, and I found a copy of the Vana'diel Collection (2008) to reinstall. So now I'm playing again. First night back, we dive into Einherjar. 75% hp left on the buffalo boss at the 30 second mark. Oh well, next time.

Damn straight. My girl and I have been all over the US and she's never disappointed me on the road. Now once I did a 2 week tour and came back and just as I hit the driveway she went out. Transmission case was cracked and it was amazing that she didn't go down while I was out on the road. It was like she knew.....ok I'm home now, time to rest.

Then I gave it all to this guy



Then I went to the registration screen on POL and hit "Cancel IDs"

Followed by going to the Control panel, Add or Remove Programs and removed 5 bulky programs and 1 not so bulky from my computer

Then took 4 boxes I had lying around that had some pointless CDs and DVDs in them and chucked them into something that looked like this...(cardboard went to recycling!)

I haven't played pretty much at all for like a few months and really didn't play any in January, which was when I sold all my crap. Would have quit back then, but the guy I gave my gil to, his hard drive crashed. And no it wasn't random, he was 20 mil+paper out from Spharai, now he's just 10 mil+paper out. And just cause I quit, doesn't mean I won't be lurking around here still

Black Shuck is dead!!! {Captain} {Mine} {bio}tches!!!!! My static beat every mega boss for FL on the first try except for black shuck. 1/8 on him... Man... it was a long but fun (most of the time) run throught the assaults. The best thing about Captain is not having to pay for runic portal usage!!!

Now on to nyzul...

Oh, we are doing the hagun NM fight tonight, so hopefully I'll have a post here tomorrow on how much gil i get out of it!

Yesterday I finally got Shadowstitch on my THF and played around with that a bit and reached 26.

This morning I felt like doing a couple of campaign battles, and for trying out WHM/THF a bit more. I survived my first NM hate list bitchslap, mostly because I still had Stoneskin up, and stood up from healing when I saw the bird coming my way. I felt like I had really accomplshed something, especially when it turned around to find someone else. Yep, getting hit is a valid way to lose hate.

Then my XP ring was ready again, so I decided to try leveling RDM a bit. Between the ring, FoV, and my signed Wax Sword +1, it took half an hour to get from zero to level 5. In another half hour I was halfway through 6 and the ring had long worn off. And I did my first solo Exp chains ever, three times getting chain #1.

I also got lucky with a treasure casket while leveling RDM. I got the Firefly gun, so I yanked some brass ingots off my mule and made bullets. Ahm gawn out shoot me some critters now.

Two years of pick up groups shouting in Jueno/Aht Whitegate and I finally got my Rajas ring! Now I just have to find some pick up groups to get my Magnetic or Etheral (still deciding).

I got my Wightslayer a few night ago and almost completed floors 11-15. we had 30 seconds left, cursed, Bio 2, and was on the other side of the map.

The WHM draw aggro from a Pot when she tried to cast Cursna on someone. We told the THF to flee to the entrance and exit as we hold off the mob. As we were holding off the mob we aggro another pot which casted Thunderga3. Only the SAM and I survive. We both are soloing a Pot waiting for the THF to exit...the that beautiful blue orb and the sound of the teleport. Then I noticed we are still in Nysul on floor 16 with 5 seconds left...

At least I got a Wightslayer out of the run.

Congratulations !!! Quite the accomplishment....

I'm only on CoP 2.5 and it feels as though the very Gods are setting the elements against me... love it when everyone you were doing them with get ahead of you, then gets "too busy"... such fun.
