I'm really interested in trying this game out, but was really surprised to see that you can't just pay to download! If anyone could be so kind as to provide me a buddy pass, I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to give this one a shot before having to deal with a brick 'n mortar shop during the Xmas shopping season.

I'm a long time final fantasy fan, and even longer fan of MMO's in general.

I wish to combine these two obsessions and try this game out, but I don't want to have to buy the game and end up deciding I don't like it.

Does the buddy pass get you free game play or something? I thought they were obsolete now that you can create characters on whatever server you want... Am I wrong?
