The Buddy Pass request thread

Hey guys i would like to know if i could have a buddy pass (if anyone as a spare one) i cant seem to find the game nor the starter pack in stores near me (live in portugal maybe thats why) so if anyone can help me out i would be most grateful i really want to try this game out, many thx in advance

me too, since i've been a big fan of the FF series a friend of mine told me to check out the game, however i've been unable to find the $3.99 trial in any store so far and he no longer has his buddy pass, if anyone has a spare one they'd be willing to give out that'd be great.

For anyone asking, you can buy what the buddy pass was (if so inclined) for $3 or so (FFXI Starter pack) from various retailers.

Do you know of any way to purchase one online, as in, pay & download? Because wether I buy from the US, UK or order it here in the Netherlands, including the shipping costs, every option I have pretty much comes out to roughly $20 for the Starter Pack >.<

I'm a fan of Final Fantasy and was discouraged that they broke the sequence and made XI an online game. My curiosity is getting the best of me though and I'm interested in having a look-see. "Here's my story: I'll make it as short as possible.

I've been addicted to FF online for many years. My girlfriend utlimately left me because of that. She moved to China for her job. I decided I loved her more than FF Online, so I threw my game's discs in the trashbin and left for China looking for her. I finally got her back... and I also got a job in Shanghai.

I'm in Shanghai now, and I've changed my mind: FF Online is way more interesting than this girl. So I want to get back to the game.

But I can't find the game's discs here: they're not sold anywhere. Plus I can't buy them online, since eBay and the other services of online shopping don't deliver in China. I absolutely need a Vana'Diel Buddy Pass number. Or if you think of any other way for me to get the game, wether by ordering it or by downloading it, please, I'm begging you on my knees, let me know. I want the whole thing to be legal: no counterfeit stuff.

Thank you in advance for your kindness. I'm really suffering here. Life without FF Online... pffff... it just doesn't make any sense.

There is no official or legal pay and download service for FFXI.
