Yesterday I logged on to PoL as usual, and updated my game with the new update without any problems at all (this was a first for me lol). However, it seems that that isn't entirely true anymore. Anyway, I was playing last night just fine no problems whatsoever and I logged out, closed out my PoL viewer etc. and logged off windows. I wake up the next morning (right now) and try to acces PoL to get on FFXI and check my AH sales, well seems like it won't allow me to. Everytime I enter my password, it logs me in, goes through the "Recieving Friend List Data" , "Checking Mail" etc stuff, then when it says Loading at the bottom of the screen, about to open the PoL main menu, a pop up window occurs. The window says "Playonline has had an error and needs to close... "Send error report" "Do not send error report" and the viewer crashes out. This is the first time this has happened to me. I checked all of my PoL files and am now checking the FFXI files. Has this Happened to anyone else? ( I am going to call Playonline later today if no one knows whats happening).

it just happned to me and i thought i gotta reinstall ffxi now ><
i think its cause of the windurst maintance (thees one on my server)

We are aware of this issue and currently investigating the causes of this error. Unfortunately, the causes are currently unknown, but we are continuing our investigation into this issue affecting many of our customers. We hope to have this issue resolved soon.
