Problem after update...
Hello everyone, thanks for checking my topic. Yesterday I logged on to PoL as usual, and updated my game with the new update without any problems at all (this was a first for me lol). However, it seems that that isn't entirely true anymore. Anyway, I was playing last night just fine no problems whatsoever and I logged out, closed out my PoL viewer etc. and logged off windows. I wake up the next morning (right now) and try to acces PoL to get on FFXI and check my AH sales, well seems like it won't allow me to. Everytime I enter my password, it logs me in, goes through the "Recieving Friend List Data" , "Checking Mail" etc stuff, then when it says Loading at the bottom of the screen, about to open the PoL main menu, a pop up window occurs. The window says "Playonline has had an error and needs to close... "Send error report" "Do not send error report" and the viewer crashes out. This is the first time this has happened to me. I checked all of my PoL files and am now checking the FFXI files. Has this Happened to anyone else? ( I am going to call Playonline later today if no one knows whats happening).

Hmm... I'm having problems too. Exactly the same thing happens. Log in seems to be going fine, then it closes.

im sooooo glad im not the only one.
it just happned to me and i thought i gotta reinstall ffxi now ><

i think its cause of the windurst maintance (thees one on my server)

i could play yesterdy after udpate and today all day but then this just came up ><

There was a windy maintenance on our server too, in windurst waters I think. That wouldnt explain why POL crashes though now, would it?

Umm... how? It is POL that is crashing, NOT FFXI. So any emergency maintenance carried out on FFXI will not have any effect on wether or not POL crashes.

Those 2 softwares are sepperate you know.. FFXI and POL Viewer. And Tetra Master as well. I hope they fix this QUICK.

Someone try to just Re-install POL.. I did Check Files though, 0 problems. I want to know whats causing it.

FFXI TSR Brendan: I'm sorry that you cannot log into the POL Viewer at this time. We are aware of this issue and currently investigating the causes of this error. Unfortunately, the causes are currently unknown, but we are continuing our investigation into this issue affecting many of our customers. We hope to have this issue resolved soon. Thank you for your patience.
