Wow one of the more interesting/helpful interviews. At least now we know there is a possibility for summons, not like everyone saying "SUMMONS SUMMONS" at CoP's release. Also, I think 1UP guy just namd Blue Mage lol.

I wonder what the new jobs will be other than the newly pantented BLU ( i laughed at that too). Just off the top of my head im thinking chemist, some one who can "use" items without crafting them. Maybe like using the items base crstal as a payment. say if you wanted to cast a mp regen efect, using orange juice as an example. then you would need 1 water crystal as payment ot make that mp regen item and maybe as you get into higher teir items, you pay more crystals or combinsation of crystals. Almost like Altelier Iris, you make items out of elements right there on the spot. or you can pre make items only usable by BLU and can not be traded or sold to NPC or AH, which im sure will drive the price of crystals sky high. could you imagine a stack of water crystals selling for about 5-10k.....T_T

You know, I find this very important. Many of the vocal members who've complained about the recent CoP NMs are the same people that "exploited" a lot of the NMs up to this point with unimaginitive show of force tactics. I'm sorry, but, as the man have said, there's too much in the game at the moment which I bet only 3% of all active FFXI players have at least checked out. I'm thinking that of the newer players (those that created their accounts since EU release) Only a handful of them ever gone through Zilart Mission 14 or higher. When the Xbox360 version gets released, I bet that the number of players who've even attempted the ZMs will be even smaller.

This poses a problem for a company that on one hand, would like to offer more things to the high level, hard core players but at the same time, would like to see the casual gamers explore more of the existing content. Heck, there's many high level players that I noticed don't even have CoP installed. I even encountered one FR player that failed to register Zilart and couldn't go to Altepa (Sad, yes, I know)

I think the call to raise level cap is unjustified at the moment. Many players who have reached 75 on their characters don't have their secondary job past 40, and only a very few players have more than 2 jobs at level 75. Even those with multiple 75 jobs have not explored much of the merit point on any of those 75 jobs. See where this is going? For SE to bend backwards to cater to only 1% of the entire FFXI population to me is not a sound business decision. Even if all those 1% quit the game, there's still the 99% out there (Also that would make more room for other players to enjoy the end game stuff I think)
