Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

Noob areas let you OP teleport at Lv1 I think. I certainly was able to use the Return Ring to OP teleport from the top of East Sarutabaruta to the outpost in West Sarutabaruta as a Lv7 or something like that.

Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

if you've done all the supply quests, i find it very useful. even though san doria on remora is usually in last or at best 2nd (rarely in 1st), i still find lots of uses for it. i have both a return and homing ring. with all supply quests done except beucadine glacier one (can't get myself to walk thru that shitty zone), i usually can get to where i want to go in about 1 minute and for less. if i use a ring to goto tele= free. from outpost back to n.san= ~200-250 gil. and depending on my destination region= ~200-1800 gil. so thats still only ~2000 gil. which is still less than what tele ports are going for these days, not to mention if you have to take a chocobo at mea or holla which usually are around 3.5k.

Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

well not necessarily. you just need to find 1 region so you can use the return ring. then from your home nation, you can teleport out to any region regardless of control. granted that you have done the supply quests.

if u cant find 1 region near you that your country controls then... well you're just out of luck

Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

OP teles not w/ ring are usable no matter who controls region as shown by Aeni's post.

Like if you were going to pt in Boyada Tree and replace somone who needs you to get there fast and you're in Jeuno and Boyada Tree is under beastman control.

zone into one of the 4 areas surrounding Jeuno that your nation controls > use ring > OP tele from there 250 gil > OP tele to Sanctuary of Zi'tah 1750 > "WOW that was FAST!"

it is very fast and often cheaper than renting a Chocobo in Jeuno.

even though I can't always use it, I still find them extremely useful.

read my earlier posts and not just the most recent one, you'll see I was fully aware of that. I was left with the impression at least one person thinks, if you don't control the region, you can't op tele normally either.

Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

discussing the normal outpost warping and the ring warping in the same post is on topic, because it is easy to get them confused.

in game, i forgot several times that the ring only warps you when your country controls the region, whereas the normal outpost warp works no matter who is in control (unless it's beastmen). getting them confused probably led to my frustration with the rings in general...

/comfort

I've set my HP to Bastok recently because of leveling my low level jobs in Dunes. Even on my main, I try to set it to my home country because when that call comes for help, I'd rather outpost teleport to get anywhere rather than be stranded in Jeuno and having to pay 8 to 12K to a WHM for the port and another 4 to 6K in choco fee (where applicable) It's disgusting how you can pay upwards of up to 20K just to get around in this game because a few players are impatient and would fill your slot with the closest flagged player.

Re: Return Ring Broken... T_T

There are too many mixed information here that leads many readers into confusion.

The Return Ring
The level req is correct at level 1. Even though you cannot use the teleportation service until level 20 in the outpost after using the ring, it is still a great item IMO. My home country is Sandy and I use the ring a lot to level up my other jobs in Fort Ghelsba. Rather than running all the way out of the the area (roughly 15-20 minute run) tog et to Sandy, I'd use the ring to warp me back to West Ronfaure where I can run back to Sandy. I agree that the region must be under your country's control, else it won't work. Another way I used the ring is when I was carrying a lot of LTCabbages for the fame boost, I paid for Tele-Holla then used the ring from the crag and I'm in the V.Dunes outpost. After giving all the LTCabbages, I paid for a home warp from the outpost. Saved me a lot of time compare to riding chocobo. The may or may not appeal to many players, but I find its uses and I'm happy with it.
