Re: I want to join a good Japanese Linkshell?!
Trust has nothing to do with making japanese friends, it's Lack of communcation. Trying to complement a good Monk for example all you can say is (Monk) (Impossible to gauge). I wouldn't personally join a JP LS if I knew good Japanese and even if I did knew Japanese I am more comfortable in a English LS. Aslo all the pain they make me cause when I try to set up a party together and all I get is "JP onry" ; ;

Re: I want to join a good Japanese Linkshell?!
japanese or not, you chose all the people that says "let's become friend?" i don't think so. But maybe you do so. I was talking about the kind of trust between friends. Plus gaining the trust of a japanese person when you are english or american is a good step for joining a japanese ls.

Re: I want to join a good Japanese Linkshell?!
What Yashin said is right to an extent, if you are noticably different and cannot speak their langauage fluently they probably wont accept you. Likewise same for me even if i look like them if i cant speak to them in Japanese they usually wont accept you. Learning Hiragana and Kanji will help long ways to communicating with them and joining their LS. Its the same thing for NA LSs, i wouldnt mind a JP friend joining but if they dont understand english i really rather them not join and waste their time.

EDIT: Ringoko i think the main draw is that you can actually type in Japanese...most NA players cannot.

Re: I want to join a good Japanese Linkshell?!
Japanese have been conceived as "uber" by NA players (at the least the ones from the NA release, cant speak from importer's view) for a while. Everyone sees them as being better at everything, which really just stems from them having more time to play to gain experience and money when we had just started out. That mentality just kinda stuck around.

Anyway on the topic of getting a JP LS and knowing Kanji/Hirgana/Romaji, a friend of mine when he started used a English-Japanese dictionary and now he has kind of self-taught himself kanji and romaji and i believe he knows some hirgana. He has quite a few JP friends and had been in a JP sky LS. It isnt impossible for an NA player to join a JP LS, but you do have to know what you are talking about, literally ;p

And now about Yashin... Yea hes always like that, hes in my LS..

The Japanese ratio of idiots to skilled players is much smaller than the NA player base.

Maybe if I were taking a class on Japanese it might help.

When I was learning French I'd play on French NS servers, which did help a little.
yup and the way you feel about going into all jp pt is the way jps feel going into all english pts hence the dreaded~ JP PT only (I'm glad you seem to understand ^-^) But yeah unless you speak fluent Japanese I wouldn't suggest getting a JP ls. I have a JP ls that spoke english and japanese but alot of ppl left it because late at night the ppls who didn't speak english got on. i'm looking for a Korean ls if there's any one Lakshmi /tell me.

Re: I want to join a good Japanese Linkshell?!
I always trust that they'll tell me what I need to know, and they do. I've come to understand Translator as some puzzle language where putting the pieces together is just as hard as understanding them once completed. I always thought most if not all Japanese kids were taught English in school, whereas here in America we're given the chance to learn languages we might not ever use.

This topic should be locked...either the OP is a troll, or he's trying to boost his forumg gil, or he just doesn't care any more. Either way, he hasn't come back...so why do people keep posting the same things and just rewording it?

Yes because theyve had more time to get the experience needed to know what to do and when.

I disagree with this somewhat. Yes the JP's have had the game longer and therefore a better understanding of the game compared to when we started to play. But many people that started playing when the NA version was released have multipe jobs to 75 and/or multiple characters that are 75. Also many of the established JP's have left the game. There are many JP that are just as "n00bish" was we were when the game was released.

I joined an all JP pt last week on my rdm. Of course, from all the posturing you hear or read, I assumed that this would be a decent pt. Well it was far from it. Now my rdm was lvl 65 and I would think by that lvl you should be able to do a decent job, but it was not the case here. But I do have to say that I was apologized to profusely and one player even demanded I take a stack of ginger cookies. LOL The point is to get that "all JP's are gods" mentality out of your heads, there is a new crop out there and they need our guidance now just as we were guided when we started.
