Elvaan-Male Dagger fighting stance...?
I remember reading a long time ago that the Elvaan Males had their dagger fighting style modeled after some sort of professional fighting stance. I believed it was somewhere in Europe, or of European decent. Could someone elaborate to me on this subject?

actually, I believe the way elvaan hold G Katana or maybe its some other weapon, is based on jujitsu, which im not sure where it originated from but i dont believe it was europe

I believe the great katana stance is kendo(japan), and the dagger stance is just some guy holding a knife o.o

Re: Elvaan-Male Dagger fighting stance...?
Well looking at the stance and strike motions I would say it seems to be more of European decent. It definatly isn't of a Brazillion Jujitsu style, but then again most of that style is grappling.

As far as Great Katanas there really isn't many styles you can hold for it and all of them are Kendo (Japan). With stances you'd have walking middle stance, walking low stance, walking high stance, fighting middle stance, fighting low stance, and fighting high stance.

Re: Elvaan-Male Dagger fighting stance...?
Yeah, the Elvaan male Great Katana stance is very Kendo-ish. Even when they run, with the weapon out, they look very samurai-ish. Hume Male look like they're on a more defensive stance, where as the male elvaan one looks like he's ready for a first strike attempt?

Re: Elvaan-Male Dagger fighting stance...?
My friend (a kendo student) hates the Elvaan male Great Katana stance because they hold it too close to their... nether regions

Hey baby. You wanna Tachi my Enpi?

Reminds me a little of the pipe stance from Silent Hill 1... eep

The Elvaan G.Katana stance is supposed to be the most basic stance in Judo.
