you seem to be mistaken or insane if you think warriors can cast magic. only if a warrior has a sub that can use magic, otherwise he has no magic abilities.

other notes-
chakra will be a high level monk ability, you won't be able to use it if monk is your sub.
subbing thief wouldn't make your jump any faster

and on another note, I hate it when people who have no idea what the game is like make crazy assumptions and speculations that come out of no where and then are dissapointed when square didn't put their dumbass idea in the game. Stop guessing what things are going to be like and just wait, it's only two weeks away.

uhh he meant if a warrior can cast magic (with a magic using sub) then a dragoon can cast magic (also with a magic using sub).

Im pretty sure dragoons are not so overpowered that square has to bend the rules just for them.

Yo david don'g get your panties in a bunch:p the level cap can go up to 255 its in the code right now max level is 60 so when you eventaully get to level 120 with main class your sub can have any abilities available at the current snapshot in time. Who knows they may reallocate abilities but i am guessing they will just add more ass they raise the level cap.

I said that because it's common sense. How would the thief sub make attacks go any faster?
The only abilities that make any attacks go faster are the lv1 monk ability and the lv15 ranger ability.

Thief has same attacking speed as everyone else. The only thing that shortens it is the weapon speed.

I don't even know why people think subbing a thief would make anything go faster.

And there's no information to show that mage subs don't work as well for melee jobs? There's no info showing that taru are the worst melee? I think maybe you took too long of a break :p

I'm not really trying to make anyone mad or anything, not trying to really flame. I just personally think some of the idea are flat out stupid and are unrealistic.

#1- In certain situations, melee/mage can mage a good combination. But I see your the type to deal with cookie cutter characters, and be like everyone else.
#2- Chakara is a level 45 ability.. when the level cap is bumped, you will easily be able to use it if you sub monk.
#3- You DONT know how a thief sub will effect jump, dont assume.
#4- Thats what I was talking about, quit being such an asshole to everyone. You say you hate when people make assumptions when your doing the same thing. Let other people have there opinion

I find these coments very amusing. First of all Tarus CAN be good at melee. And secondly mage subs CAN be good for melee main jobs, this all depends on what your race is of course.


Please don't tell ppl what class's they have to play. Dont give advice about not being a job unless you've specifically played one yourself. We can be just as good if given the chance, but it seems people are more interested it making the perfect party.

On a much more on-topic note:

If the interval between Jump times was not a set one (e.g. one minute), but something determined by AGI, then a THF sub would be a good thing, especially if it did NOT shorten airtime. More airtime + less time on the ground = less damage taken.

Fact: WAR/WHM is an excellent newb-service job combo. Ask around if you don't believe me. Or just think about it, whichever's easier. :sweat:

I wonder if a dragoon can use weapons other than a lance or if it is strickly lances. And not only that but will lances be the same weapon type as spears. I was wondering because the spears currently in the game i have seen look nothing like the lances the dragoon are using in the screen shots. If they could also use grapple that would rock the house but i doubt they will kinda the Complete opposite. I can always hope though:spin:

ALright lets think about it what is a guys man goal as a dragoon?
is he gonna be in the air most of the time meaning he won't get hit much and he probably will have pretty good armor and def as in the past dragoon usaully do so i say just try and increase either speed or attack meaning i would have to pick a drk monk or thief as a sub. Dark knight being top pick cause i am a high damage guy i want beefe attacks
