Re: History of Vana'diel Website 7/10 update ^^

I remember when you first start this and it was completely empty. The links would take you to some wierd website and it was just meh. But I've seen you've done alot and it's turning out amazing ^^ Good luck with it and I'll be checking repeatedly for updates.

Love your site. It's truly wonderful and learning more about the history of Vana'diel is fun and exciting. I'll be waiting impatiently for more updates. :D Keep up the great work~
yeesh. ppl who say ffxi has no story are the ones who only play for a month and only lvled a job to 20... ;; But it's not really their fault. Truth be told, the story doesn't really take off until you get to M12 (or about lvl 60). Then, you get to start Zilart missions. True ppl could start CoP, but the first two chapters (early lvl 30 and lvl 40 areas) aren't that interesting. Also, you need a bit of gil to make it that far, which again leads to ppl needing lvl 60 because that's when most ppl can do bcnms (most ppl won't have enuf before then) and/or farm safely. You can do these before 60, but not many ppl do.

So, they get bored with the game and say it has no story. blah.

Btw, I don't think an anime based on ffxi would do well. Anime based on MMORPG seems less popular like Ragnarok the Animation. Even Final Fantasy based anime like FF: Unlimited do poorly. The only anime that did well too my knowledge was .hack but that was based on RL ppl playing an MMORPG.

Re: History of Vana'diel Website 7/10 update ^^

I think if they made the anime take the viewpoint of 'one' person, as he journeyed through the historical facts etc. But they'd need to have different chapters to the story then. Like the first chapter, vanadiel history as seen through the eyes of Raogrimm etc. then the next chapter u get zeid's view point or lions etc. etc.

I didnt really enjoy Ragnarok the Animation because it was too deep seated in the game. You'd have to play the game to understand some things, and the characters were kinna shallow :/ But if someone took the 'story' behind Vanadiel, made it specific to one group of characters who were there at the time, that would prolly work. Like King Arthur, where every account of Camelot is always through the emotional and personal trials of King Arthur, or Lancelot, or Guineviere!

Re: History of Vana'diel Website 7/10 update ^^

Yeah FF unlimited was kinda like spirits within . Not a true final fantasy.
If square does make a anime based of ffxi, it should stick true to the anime.
basically makes its own party of 6 people who travel with each other as they experience the story. they can do it in seasons. have at least 3 people come from each city. have another from jueno etc. You dont need to see them "level" but showing them fighting a crab now and then wouldnt be bad hehe.

They can even do the AF for one of the characters, that would be nice.

But basically have all 3 nation storylines intersect at some point then hit them with Promathia. SE has at least 5 seasons worth of information and characters for FFXI Anime.
