Me wonder who has the record for having the most jobs to level 75. That'd be interesting to see.

One of my friends currently has about 7 there. Once he gets them all there, I don't think there will be anything else for him to do, seriously.

FF4 I can beat with only using Cecil. I kill the bosses in Final Fantasy X in one hit. I think Tidus' father takes 2 in his final form (it's been a looong time). The dark aeons weren't that hard and neither was Omega Weapon (I think that's what it was in the monster sphere thingy). Final Fantasy 8 was easy as hell too. 7 can be beaten without training, fogot how but one of my friends did it. Everything before 4 I didn't touch. Oh and FF1 goes MNKx4 without any equipment rape. How hard is that?! O.o

FF7,FFX took 70 hours.. I've put in 10 times as much time and am not even close.

Call it whatever you want, money/time sink, business tactic on S-E's behalf, whatever. MMORPGs in general; none of them take merely a few days to accomplish everything you would like to.

There's plenty of stuff to do in MORPGs that don't involve story

a lot of people do dynamis and big god battles and what not, who are already rank 10 and stuff..

plus expansions

We do Dynamis for items. Same as the Gods and everything. Those battle are only fun the first few times you do it. After a while they are pretty boring. But again for drops sake.

man the fact it takes long is the whole point ;3 if shit was easy to get in the game everyone would run around looking the same. multiply regular ff by 100x and u have some understanding of ffxi ;3 and that is the beauty of it.

if u dont got the time wait for ffxii instead of bitching on forums i guess!

Oh no, we totally get it. You don't get it. It's a MMORPG and its supposed to take a long time to get the good stuff. It sounds like WoW might be more your style.

To complate and do all the things this game can offer = SUPER HARDCORE

To see FFXI full story = just do all quests/missions only 1 job lv 75 needed nothing else

So i really cant see why you complain...

Just dont join hnmls/dynamisls/farm for uber gear/lv million job....
and you will see ffxi full story superfast XD

As to the difficulty aspect, I wouldn't say the game itself is overly hard with the right amount of planning and perseverance. I would ask why the game is so obviously biased towards Japanese players and to a lesser extent US players. Knowing you should be killing Kirin and doing Dynamis runs is fine but when you know you're on a server with at most six Euros and having to stay up till 1-2am till you can start most Dynamis runs you realise the Euro contingent is lacking some love.

There should be the opportunity for players to select a localised server as in EQ and WoW where you have EU and specific country servers. This, however, doesn't fit in with S-E's soft, fluffy integration of mixed cultures programme. So, myself and other Euros are forced into joining US LS's where our attendance is lower than most regular members and our active hours are totally unsociable. Most CoP mission runs are taking place when we sleep as are most other LS events.

So, yes, the game is hard in as much as I know I can do things in it but am constantly frustrated in my attempts due to active English-speaking players to choose from on my timeframe being severely limited.
