Could This Be A Bug In Fishing?

When you buy a stack of bait to fish with, you're supposed to lose one (bait) for each successful catch you make..... right? (and also if you lose your catch) Well, as I was fishing in Windurst yesterday, (using a stack of Insect paste Balls, and fishing fish a Bamboo Rod) I was making successful catches right, left and centre, but the odd thing is..... I wasn't losing my bait. :confused:
It was only one stack, and it was as if I had a neverending stack of bait. I even used sabiki Rig as Bait too, and it just stayed in my Inventory, and never disappeared when I made any successful catches. :confused:

I did buy myself a Fisherman's Tunica

and pair of
Fisherman's Hose recently, and have started wearing them for fishing.

This is the first time I have had my character wear anything like this, so I don't know if it's the reason for my bait lasting a long time, (as I have described) or whether there is some kind of a bug in the game.

Can anyone help me out here please?

If you successfully pull up an item, you don't lose beit.
If you pull up a fish, or fail to pull whatever bites it up, you'll lose it.

You dont lose bait when you use rigs, and you only lose rigs when your line/rod breaks...

Thank you for the help guys.

I went back to sandy to meet a friend there, and had a mission to do. So I went to Port sandy to do some fishing, and as you have to use smaller bait there, I was catching fish, which lost my bait for each catch I made.

When I reached Port Sandy, I was looking around for an NPC to give me the advanced support thing, (a bit like the option you get when you join a guild. I can't rememebr what you call it offhand.) for fishing so that it would help me, (in which way, I cannot remember either. Gosh! I'm a bit dopey this evening. :p ) but I guess you only get that in Windurst, since their fishing guild is there.
Personally, I think it might be a quite useful if they did have an NPC with the support in sandy though. It might come in handy maybe.

yea but fishing guild is in windurst :O image support is part of guild service.
