Thanked 3x in 3 Posts Gil: 1,632 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,632 Donate  | Issue with fraps Hey, I haven't been using fraps recently because I haven't really had the hard drive space.. and just now got a new drive. So I try to start up fraps and then FFXI, but as soon as I hit play and the screen goes black, it crashes to my desktop.
The only thing I can think of that I've changed since when I used it a few months ago is that I updated my drivers (I use omega drivers and updated to their latest ATI version).
I've tried reinstalling the drivers but it doesn't seem to help. Perhaps I have to downgrade my drivers to get FFXI to run while fraps is up? If so, does anyone know where I can find archived versions of omega drivers (as I'm not entirely sure if switching back to ATI drivers is very easily doable.)

I've got a few gigs left on my main drive, but I'm not even recording to my drive- the problem starts when Fraps is running, not even while I'm recording. And besides that, the save directory is a folder in my new drive with lots of space.

I downgraded my omega drivers to catalyst 4.12 and it works all of a sudden- I recorded the CoP intro cutscene. Flawless.
