Thinking about playin again...

Ahhh it's been a year now since i left off final fantasy 11... I tried eq 2 and didnt like the interface/style of the game.. Tried WoW it was fun but i got bored of it lol
No one wants to party in wow, everyone was soloing...

I stop playin FFXI in the year 2003... I know my char is prob deleted allready for sure... But I want to try the game again XD

I have a few question though:

1. If i start over again from the beginning, will there be low level people playin the game? Or will it be hard to find a party these days?

2. What's new since i left off in 2003? XD

3. how's the population in FFXI? I heard people left the game for WoW and other MMO's....

1. 1-20 there are still many new players (and n00b vets) playing low level jobs. Finding PT isn't hard, but majority of them are quite bad. PTs get better after level 20, good PTs gets more and more common from there on.

2. a lot. No major change to the game's system or the way it's played, but more quest, more CoP missions, more stories, new zones.

3. Yea hgeard a lot about ppl leaving but FFXI population still look the same to me. I left once too, and thanks to WoW it helped me realized how superior FFXI is.

OO i tried that coming back into Vandiel thingy, it doesnt apply to me because it says that I cancelled my Playonline account? Funny thing it says I can just reactivate my account again... So I guess it didnt got deleted... but my char did T-T

Read into the Return to Vana'diel Campaign further. Whether or not you cancelled your PlayOnline account or FINAL FANTASY XI Content IDs or deleted your character right away, there's a way for you to return.

FFXI seems more populated then ever to me. Someone startin the game is a lot less appearnt then someone quitting. For every one person there is a good chance, two people started.

Heh, going to chime in on the WoW thing also. If I wasn't in the guild I am in WoW, I would have cancelled a loooong time ago.

I thought about coming back too... in fact reinstalled the game, but was halted by a lack of member registration details (I forgot... )...

Was about to ask my friend for the details (I gave her my account), but then thought better of it... after reading through the kind of drama that's happened in the old linkshell, remembering the tedium, remembering the pain of levelling, the jacked up economy, interpersonal drama with people I quite frankly only cared about within the context of the game (the one girl I really did care about as a person, has had a bf from the start... *sigh*), I thought it best to hold the good parts of FFXI in memory, while remembering the bad stuff, instead of reexperiencing them, in order to stay away from the game...
