i am forever grateful to the japanese parties who invited me to go to koro tunnel instead of qufim, altepa desert instead of yuhtunga jungle, and sky instead of the tree...

the tree can burn for all i care!

I forgot what that kinda action is called, but it's like when you see a bunch of people queueing up, you will queue too even though you don't know what's going on. In FF, it's "there is a lower jeuno in dunes, it has to be good exp".
And what's the alternative? Sitting alone in Buburimu in a futile wait for a party invite that will never come?

Or bringing people over from the Dunes, only to hear "OOPS! I gtgz0r!" after 15 minutes of partying?

Gather as many as you can and fight what's appropriate. It's not hard to find things to solo on to 14 in Tahrongi. As small party can fight dhalmels in Tahrongi or Mighty Rarabs and Sylvestres in Buburimu depending on level. If you get a 5th or 6th hit the Maze. One of my best early party experiences in terms of exp per time was with just a whm (me), a thf, and a war camping at the outpost killing rabbits and turnips. Adapt to the situation.

Also, this is somewhat of a moot arguement but if more people stayed in Kolshushu, getting a party there woudn't be so hard.

Somewhat tangential to the topic: Does anyone know of a good alternative to CN at ~lvl37?

I don't want to start a fight. I will just explain my point.

I agree Bastokans or Sandorians are perfectly fine to level in dunes(they can get there easily), but there is no point for windrustians to go to dunes to level, it's like this because it turned out this way because of some gamefaqs' stupid guide, but it isn't what the game is designed like. I leveled in buburimu, meriph... mountain, sau....champagne, dangruf, korroloka at the dunes lvls, apparently they are better exp too, but nowaday I just can't find a party at anywhere else but dunes.

My point is, if people would try to explore some, instead of listening to one person's view, there would be a lot more exp ground for people.

But well, it's too late to change anything, this is intended to offend you, since you offended me 1st: you are the type that caused this kinda "overcrowding one area" to happen. I never knew getting to Korroloka from bastok is longer than getting to dunes.

I don't know what offended you from my previous post really, but well sorry. O.o;

No, I'm sorry if I sounded offending, because that wasn't my intent.

I'm just saying there are huge logistics problems at low levels (which somewhat disappears at higher levels) that just makes leveling "away from the herd" extremely impractical. Unless you're blessed with a static party or something.

I don't really think its the fault of whatever guide/bradybook/faq/etc. either. Even back during NA release I remember Bubu/Shahkrami being rather sparsely populated so that you were much more likely to get a party by going to dunes than anywhere else.

what you said was no better then what i said. truth is if your a bst you can exp for an hour an still walk away with 1k-2k before release. an the simple fact you can log on an off in a certain area. not to mention you dont need to seek. just proves you dont need more then an hour to exp.so nope macht you dont really need 3hr+ to lvl.

all i was stating was that bst may very well fit them better then most other jobs. because lets face it. coming to exp for 30 mins before you decide to log, or have to log. most times then not gets you passed over. an only asked as a last resort. they can do whatever it is they want. lvl whatever they want. truth be told. players remember those things. an is why most never made it past 20. or those who did never4 made it past 50.

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

Is that why there's no EXP parties in Maze of Shakhrami or Buburimu Peninsula anymore?
