But I usually I am the voice of reason (be it whether some think so or not) about most issues, I try to make sense of these matters and cool people down over it. "This" issue is different though. These Berets have usefulness to a lot more people than some here might think.. They would really make my current frustrated position in the game a little brighter, being able to play with friends who long since out leveled me.. For once.. I honestly do think this is a load of crap from them. They could just as easily made these obtainable through a quest or something.. Locking out people who have been playing awhile now.. Ugh, it just further adds to my frustration..

I totally agree with Cara, the reason why I stopped playing FFXI was that it was just too hard to make parties with random people, and all my friends were level 60+ when I was still in my 30's. If my friends could have lowered their levels to hunt with me, they would have done so in a heartbeat.

I'm not trying to be a party pooper...but it's a "little" late to try and get a giant influx of gamers to come onto ffxi. Most new mmo players are flocking over to WoW (in droves). You'll get a few people (ffxi has it's own special things to offer) however, a giant promotional campaign is quite unrealistic. Maybe a year ago... |
