If you could add a new element of gameplay or something new in general to FFXI, what would it be?

I think I'd like to see a dueling system. Ballista is fun and all, but it's a pain in the ass to duel 1v1 when there are a mess load of people running around, just waiting to double team you.

Something I'd also like to see is like a minigame of the sort... like tetra master. You'd be able to play while you wait for PTs or anything in general.

I vote Samurai. It wouldn't involve MP and would be more powerful than Refresh and Ballad II combined. :p

The ability for everyone to solo for XP. At levels 60+, you can't kill an easy prey without getting your ass handed to you. An easy prey isn't worth much XP at all either!

I hate waiting forever and a day for PTs. That is the biggest pitfall in this game. I know a BST can solo, but everyone should be able to solo and get 'OK' XP.

This game is to stuck on setting of the same PTs to get anything done for XP. That crap needs to change to make the game more friendly to people who don't have hoards of time to play in one sitting. I find myself logging on and waiting 3-4 hours and still not being able to get into a PT or to start up a PT without people getting too impatient with waiting on more members.

I really hate that aspect of this game.

Lots of people hate the fact that you can't solo for XP in FFXI but honestly, that simple fact is crucial to building your teamwork skills and finding out what makes up a party that works.

The Tetra Master card thing..if not something similar to collectable cards and expansions and dueling. We just need something to pass that LFG time that is availible just about every time we log on and caters to a more broad audience so everyone can enjoy while seeking.

I'd like a linkshell Mog House of some sort, as well as having the ability to enter your friends' Mog Houses... like set passwords for your own MH and you have to enter the correct one to get permission from the Moogle! LS MHs would be pretty nifty I think, having LS members hang out all together in a personal zone, there could be even a LS-Mog Safe or something... I dunno

Hmm...id kinda like the abilty to add crystals to your weapons...say your fighting crabs(wich is what? 90% of the time?) add a lighting crystal to your weapon and it would last for like 15-30 mins and add a few extra damage each hit...

Have a chocobo track, and you have level up your chocobo to get faster, then race with it.

Absolutely with Pai Pai on this. Mini games for those times where you just want to exp and have to wait a few hours to get a pt. And GM events so they can interact with the community more. It's sorely lacking!

More minigames. Based on previous FF's there can be chocobo racing, casinoes and card battling (tetra master).
