Hey people, Yay i finally got FFXI =p Anyway I was wondering if when you upgrade or get a new advanced job, like if I have a lvl 30 warrior and I turn him into a Paladin will the paladin be lvl 30 or lvl 1? And also a question.. At what lvl do paladins learn Cure and life?
And how much HP does cure heal?
And when you use life does the person come back alive with full health? If not how much health?

Oh one more thing about this.. It wont let me login It says the network is busy or something. .What does this mean? And how can I fix it or how long will it take till I can log into playonline?

First of all any new job you start be it rdm,whm,thf, ect. you will have to start it back at lvl 1 , but your main job will remain the same. About cure, well it all depends on your healing skill, at the lower levels it won't be at it's full potential ,but one you reach the right lvl it will generally be 30 sometimes more as you get higher. Also cure2 is 90. 3 at 180.4 is 360? and 5 i dont have a clue but would guess its 720?, double that of cure 4. Please anyone correct me if im wrong.

When you get an advanced job you get to start all over as a Lv1 PLD. The up side to this is you now have a nice Lv.30 WAR sub. you wont have to lv it for a long time. As for when you learn cure and all you lear that in the first few lvs

Cure heals like uhhhh damn i forget it cost 8mp to cast and cures like awe idk how much hp (kinda sad since im a WHM )
Life is now calld Raise and you get that at lvvv............. 50 i think and the person comes back weakend with little health but they dont loose much EXP

Your pld will be lvl 1.

The strength of your cures vary. There are different cures. Cure 1, Cure 2, Cure 3....and each heals for a different amount. But you also have to build up your magic skill in order to reach the max amount you can heal.

Plds can cast raise at lvl 50. It does not raise you with full health. You are also in a weakened state. That means your HP and MP are reduced and after approx 4 mins the weakened state wears off and you have to rest until your full.

Keep trying with the servers. Sometimes it takes a while.

Well, you don't "Turn into" a Paladin. You do the quest and then you can change your job to the Paladin job. Your Paladin will start out at Level 1 as any other job that you have not leveled up.

Paladins can learn cure at either level 1 or 5 I think. Sorry, I can't really remember. They can also learn Raise at level 50.

How much HP cure heals depends on your healing skill and the Mind statistic. But the first cure can heal anywhere between 10hp at the least and 30hp at the most.

If you use Raise on a dead person, they come back to life with very little HP and have a raise sickness for around 5 minutes, which leaves them in a weakened state.

You don't upgrade jobs. You unlock them. Just like you can walk into your Mog house now and swap to say, BLM, that's the same thing you will do with PLD. It'll start at level 1, and you'll have to level it up from scratch. Just the more jobs you unlock, the more choices you'll have to swap to.

However, your level 30+ WAR job (presumably) will serve as your subjob and will already be levelled. So until 62 you won't have an underlevelled sub.

PLD learns Cure at level 5. I assume you mean Raise by Life (what it's called in FFXI), which PLD can now learn at level 50 (was 75 until a few months ago).
Cure soft-caps at 30 HP healed. When raised a person has a fraction of their HP and MP and remains in a weakened state for five minutes.
