Latent effects on new items?

So, since the last patch a lot of new items ahev been added to the database and I was wondering if at any chance there were hidden effects on them that anyone has noticed or if people know what the latent effects/enchantments actually do...


Evoker's Boots LV71 Feet SMN
DEF 11 MP+20 MND+2 ENMITY-2

Is it just new/different boots to wear, or is there actually something special to these?


Gaudy Harness LV50 Body BRD BST
DEF 27 CHR+3 Latent Effect: Adds "Refresh" Effect

Anyone know how the latent is activated?


Absorbing Shield LV 71 Shield BST PLD RDM SAM THF WAR WHM
DEF 18 HP+16 VIT+2 Enchantment: Contagion Transfer
<Max Charges: 20 / Equip Delay: 30s / Reuse Timer: 1h >

Anyone know what the hell that Enchantment does?


Oscar's Scarf LV71 Neck All
CHR-9 Enchantment: Slightly Bad Breath
<Max Charges: 50 / Equip Delay: 30s / Reuse Timer: 15m >

It's kind of sad how some classes get really nice Job specific ones, thf with 4% haste for example, and pld have to share their pretty unremarkable one with warriors.

Oh, also does anyone know how the latent effect is activated on the new weapons that change the default DMG and add a Crit Hit% are?

Pure speculation, maybe if you are diseased or plagued, it passes it to someone else or back to the mob.
