2000 ppl disconnect at the same time!!

On cait sith just a minute ago we lost more than half the server population. Entire zones were disconnected. All of Jueno, Kazham, Rabao, Norg, parts of windurst, bastok and sandoria. No one is in the zone and you cant enter the zone. You get kicked out as if you were trying to ride a chocobo into the zone.

This happen to anyone else recently or ever? :confused:

They're having server problems I believe... I think a few of the other servers went down too...

Looks like somebody accidently spilled their cup of coffee on the hub or something.

Yeah they already shut down Quetzalcoatl and just shut cait sith down. *sigh*

Hope this doesnt last long.

This is the first time I've actually seen an unscheduled server crash/shutdown since I started playing in November. Wonder what went wrong. The fact that Quetz and Cait have been down for several hours and still aren't back up is curious.

we have had zone crashs plenty of times. an what happens is S.E would give you 10 mins to get the hell out of there before they fixed it. those that didnt get out in time got botted from the server an not let back in til the zone they were in was fixed..

lol come to think of it i remember the huge server crash. it was so bad the server was down for about 24 hours straight.. i am getting tired of all these server updates/ maintenece this month.. i cant wait til COP comes out an it all stops..

Odd, there was no warning given when this happened and I have never seen that happen before. Quetz was a complete server crash while Cait was aparently only a partial zone crash.

I kind of expected this stuff to happen after CoP, not before. :sweat:

You do know, that when CoP goes live, there will be even more server down time, and stuff right?

S-E hasn't seen the mass result of all the new stuff they put in, it could be very unbalanced.

I remember this happened on fairy about a month back. I was grouping in zvahl baileys when suddenly the warrior and whitemage stopped responding. Paladin tried to run (no idea where he was trying to go...), trained another demon, then d/c'ed too. I just barely managed to warp out. Server population was reduced from 3400 to 1800 in a minute or two. Funny part was all the survivors from xp parties started showing back up in jeuno exchanging war stories =).
