All I'll say is this thread should have ended on page 1. Lionx and Norelco did not say the Chinese deserved to sell gil just because it was for survival, but both Rones and csBahamut interpreted it that way, and chose to respond with some lines that could possibly offend some people. And that set the stage for 7 pages of political discussion/flaming that achieved...absolutely nothing.

I'm not flaming you guys, but if you reread Lionx and Norelco's posts, they had both acknowledged that gil-selling is against the rules and shouldn't be tolerated. All they really said is to look at both sides rationally, and to quit beating the dead horse.

Attack the idea not the person. Attacking the person is admitting defeat. I'm glad KamaAina and ravenfyre forfitted their position with all those personal attacks, but I wish they hadn't felt the need to create these last 3 pages of spam/personal attacks. Also, for someone who doesn't care, you sure posted a lot. If you didn't care, you should just go play the game and let those who do care (or at least enough to have a civilized discussion) alone. I really would have enjoyed discussing Lawdawg's points further, but the spam from you two has practically ruined any chance of reasonable discussion.

Reason this expanded beyond that Scatman is it was admitted that what they were doing was wrong, but the argument developed over whether breaking of these laws should be tolerated. Also, no we were not the ones that made that interpretation, that was Lionx well before either of us posted in this thread. Here's an excerpt from Lionx's post:

The fact is that they are doing this for survival, and yes they are breaking rules, i dont like that at all. But all i am saying is that, dont blame the people working there to ensure survival thats all. These style problems are never solved by stopping the buyer, you always to go the source, being the supplier. I brought it up before as an example, trying to stop people from buying drugs is near impossible, that is why they focus so much more on suppliers and distributers. If you followed that parallel, you will understand why the focus is put on these gil farmers (suppliers) and IGE (distrubter). Another reason is IGE is an organization tied together as a business, the buyers have no connections between them, thus it's much more difficult to stop buyers compared to stop a single organizaiton.
