The Maze (You DON'T need a BLM)

Okay last night it was late(3-4 am), and I decided to make a Maze Maker hunting party. I was only there with a BLM. The BLM said he would join me once I got members. I got a 1 japanese monk, 1 english monk, 1 japanese warrior, and another (japanese) WHM. The BLM says we have too little mages and he logs out(after saying i never hunted there before, I did with BLM RDM BST, while he is Rank 2). I am a bit pissed along with the WAR(who is the only one there atm, the rest are coming via tele, from E saru, or boat). I invite a Rank 5 RNG to come, and he does.

Party: MNK MNK WAR RNG WHM WHM (Level 10-13, three hit 14)

We chained worms, usually started chain with a T goblin(yes all the goblins are T once you hit 13 there). Thanks to the WHM power we killed three MMs who all linked without the use of two hours. From those three we got 3 levels up. Pretty funny.

We get 4K/hr, but i had to go after one hour(it was like 5). Well let me just say that the RNG was not doing that much more damage than the MNK. I hear to say to that idiot Rank 2 BLM, you don't need all mages.

The fact is with 2 WHMs and 2 MNKs(I am sure H2H is good verse worms), you can drop worms mad easy. Well I am done.

Yeah you can do with out all the mage types at times. Like last night we were coffer key hunting in Castle Oztroja There was 8 Members in the party we only had 2 RDM, BRD, THF, and the rest were DRKS. LOL what a party right. Well Some how over the course of time I ended up getting around 5k exp just from the coffer party. Though on a sad not only got 4 of the 6 coffer keys we needed.

Poor RNG, purposely gimping his exp to party with you guys

Just kidding, kinda, cos RNG at 13 can solo those worms effortlessly, don't need a party for that

Yeah, that is true, but he found himself out of arrows every often doing so. Plus he was 11 when the party started and in bastok markets.

Yeah, Shakrami Maze and fighting MMs I've done that spot for all my jobs at lv. 10. As long as you have 2 WHMs then BLM isn't need at all, just any job that is able to hit the MMs is all you need really. It goes faster though if you have a RNG, BLM, DRK, WAR, or MNK to get the damage done and a PLD to try and hold hate.

Around those levels a well equipped RNG can easily outdo a BLM. So the BLMs arn't really as required at that point, till you start getting to the higher levels any mage or melee class are all about the same with slight variations as far as their damage goes.

The only job at those levels that seems to get hit the worst is THF. They get stuck using a lower skill weapon just to do decent damage, they would have to be nuts to be using daggers in an XP at that level.

Not always a BLM will be needed. I've been in parties in the 30's were we actually leveled faster without a BLM and just had 2 WHMs.
