whats is cooler to play in opinion

ok this was just something ive came up with but which game seems to be more cool and socially accepted to play and be proud to say u play FFXI or EVERQUEST.

having played EQ for 5 years the FFXI community seems for open and cool about playing the game. i mean have u guys seen a EQ fan aire event its pretty scary.

anyhow plz post on your opinion iam interested in feedback for fun

Well if you play FFXI you'll be cooler around the anime ner..crowd :p

But if you're asking my personal opinion, I had more fun with EQ.

)
Personally, I like both of them, but from my experience, FFXI has a better sense of community.

I would really have to say FFXI.

Not because of the gameplay or the leveling system.

But the people.

That's what makes FFXI golden. People are open and easy to talk with. If you need help, they'll help ya.

It's really, really, neat. I played RuneScape and EverQuest before FFXI. And one of the things that bothered me is that in RuneScape, there was a censor but people managed to scoot around it. They would call people names, blah, blah, blah, your mom is so fat, ect. Since there is no censor in FFXI (well, you can to it on...), I expected all this.

Nope.

Everyone is nice.

That's probably because RuneScape is filled with incredible morons. You don't believe all the sh** going on there until you try it.

I agree with you, in that game people are always getting past the censor like saying "(=uck", and other "shyt". No one cares about you and 75% of the players are scammers trying to hack you and steal all your stuff

When i started this game, i was astounded by how nice the poeple were. People would go out of there way to just help you on a quest that takes 5 hours, outa thier spare time. I love it. I was hacked in runescaped and when i was a n00b, scammed many times. You ask for money, forget it. You ask for a little help ona quest, no way. You ask for a fair deal and/or trade, no way, every1 tries to scam you

go ffxi.

As for the orginal post, i think ffxi > EQ in terms of coolness

EQ has been mocked in TV shows and sitcoms, its just too nerdy

well i played Dark Age of Camelot before FFXI and i must say i much prefer FFXI for various reasons. a couple being 1. basically you are forced to party(was so boring leveling in DAOC sometimes because alot was by myself) and 2. You can't PL a char to the highest level in 2 days

(which my friend has done)

I saw this video today of a tauren shaman. It was about 50 mins long, showed him going from the character creation screen to about level 4. Man, you get mad exp from completing quests. And the avatars look awesome and...damn it's just awesome.

Anyway, one of the main reasons ffxi would be seen as cooler to play than EQ is because Japan has brainwashed us all with anime (by us all I mean you guys, I hate it).

By the way, the models in WoW look damn ugly. It's like they used the Half-Life engine. Luckily the enviroment looks pretty good.
