I had a millionK when I was level 15... I was in such a buying spree that I bought 2 leaping boots because I thought I need one for each leg. And just for fun I bought the emporers hairpin for 400k and resold it back for 1 gil. Thats how rich I was...

You shouldn't have to worry too much about the amount of money you will need in the endgame when you haven't gotten there yet. Making money becomes easier as you get higher, so yeah...

200k is chump change in the end game btw... although you've already guessed that or something.

Im not a jealous prick =/ I have basically everything I need for my level. But you shouldnt be worried about equip your not gonna see for a long time. You know how all those people have such good gear? Theyve been playing for Months/years! If I played this game just to get to level 75/37 with the best equip possible it would be SO boring. Its about social interaction not getting the best stuff you can and having people examine you at the AH just to see what you have. What Im suggesting is play the game for fun, not to get to the endgame in 2-3 months.

200k at level 27 is a lot. I don't expect people to have leaping or hairpin their first time around, it's awesome if you have them of course, but never a necessity. Here's the gist of what most people are saying. 200k is nothing at higher levels, then again it's a lot easier to get cash at higher levels compared to where you are now. I only came to acquire my million+ gil equips past level 60 with a lot of help from friends (thnx~!). Before that I wasn't too great enough to get through most parts of the game without being a leech. If you were to ask me 10-15 levels ago, I'd say 200k is a lot of money . Good luck on your track to higher levels as a Drk~!

hehe Rahli, I'm in your boat. I never really have more than 1-3k on average....yes that's sad at my level i think. I just got Fire II at level 42, I'm saving for blizzard II before I start leveling again....I'm thinking of deleveling to 41 to have an excuse for not having Blizzard II when I PT >.>

Everytime I get a "large" amount of gil (large amount being about 5k for me), it gets squandered somehow on crafting, chocobos and giving other people the little gil i have to help out here and there....:sweat:

if you can buy what you need (not what you want...) at right level, you are rich.

Obviously, 200k under lvl30 before you unlocked any advance job is considered rich, because compared to your peers, you have better stuff.

Just be happy at what you have. I was extremely happy when I bought two balance ring as a low level drk. Right now, i have 1.6mil gil in my bank (waiting for my thf lvl before I buy haubergeon) and still not happy - want 2nd sniper ring and bomb core eventually...

Belive me when i say you are very rich for your current level i just hit LvL 30 and have 250K and have the works. Mer Captains everything, spike necklace, purple belt, +2str rings +1beetle earrings, the whole lot other then the hairpin i have the best stuff for my lvl and race since Mithra need strength and alot of it.

Don't fret though it will all go away soon i should know im a monk and high lvl monk gear is expensive as hell!
