ONLY in case of using the Grapple (Hand, Fists, what ever you want to call it) Like when you are a Dark Knight and if you use sub job other then Monk, when you fight with a grapple weapon, you don't punch 2 times (bascially use 1 fist instead of 2) so you have to sub monk in order to correct that. The thing is Dark Knight, don't have grapple skills, so unless you sub monk grapple skill will not show

Edit:
LOL, wait, re-read it, you said weapons? If you sub job is theif, then you can't use a theif only weapon. You have to use weapon specified for your main job.

i think it would be good if they put abilities to let you do stuff like that like on 5 a dk with a gun would be cool if you could have that

if u have a thief as a job and ranger as a subjob could u use the guns that rangers use?

Since you can't seem to read, I don't know why I reply.. but NO, you can ONLY use the weapons that allow your MAIN JOB.

BUT since Thieves can already use one gun...I think maybe later on they'll be able to yield several...IMO

that is possible, I don't see the purpose in allowing them just one gun. But they won't be able to use the amount of guns that a ranger would.

Nah, that'd be dumb! But Rangers are more effective with them anyways I'd assume...so if you really wanted to deal with guns but wanted to be Thief...Ranger/Thief is always a good idea.

If you have the proper level when it is as a sub-job, I'm sure it's just like any other ability.

Hey, If your're a carpenter you can make your own arrows. I dont know if a guild can make bullets though, but that would solve your problem of buying that stuff.
