Bastok Conquest.. terrible on my server!

I'm a Bastok citizen on the Carbuncle server... and I got on today, and saw that as usual Bastok was in last place on the server, but that we were allied with Windurst (San d'Oria is almost always first, and Windurst every other week or so may become 1st). And ever since NA release Bastok is VERY rarely first, and NEVER has the most people. I do /sea bastok all, /sea sandoria all, and /sea windurst all, and always SdO has most, then windy, then bastok.

But, what I thought was the most terrible thing, and what I have never seen before is that Bastok only had ONE zone, and that zone was Gustaberg! ONE zone, I have never seen this before, just insane to me. And now Bastok and Windurst are allied.

Does this happen on other servers? Is Bastok always last on your server? Have you ever seen a country EVER have just ONE zone?! Also, why is it that SdO always has the most people, and almost always is in first or close second? Why does everyone pick SdO?

It's bad on Lakshmi too. If Bastok ever gets number one, it's for about a week, then Sandoria takes the spot back, but right now Windurst is number one.

You "own" a region by players getting "signet" cast on them by their towns guards, and by those players then fighting in that region. The benefit of getting signet is also that it extracts crystals from the mobs you fight which is good for cash money, and also you can use conquest points to buy items from guards, and sell them or use them.

There really isnt a huge benefit of conquesting a certain area, or being in first or last place. If you are first, you get a few more items in shops in your hometown than you normally would. If you control a certain region, there are vendors from those areas that will sell items specific to that region in your home town. Not a huge deal... a lot of times its just bragging rights on the linkshell chat, or in parties.. all in good fun though...

I was mostly just surprised that Bastok only controlled ONE region, out of about 15-20 or so regions, which is really really pathetic, and that region was the n00b region nearest to bastok.

same in Odin server.. I've seen bastok in first place maybe twice ever since NA release...

but people always overlook the fact that you get double CP when you fight in areas not owned by your country.... my friends who are sandorian or windhurst always complain they don't have enough CP to buy some of their gear.. I just laugh at them, 'coz I've got so much CP, I don't even know what to do with it.. =P

I know you pain... I am on the same server as you, and my home is Bastok!

Bastok is horrible on the Carbuncle server! We can't ever keep the damn Highlands if our life depended on it!

It's good to see that people are having the same toughts as I am!

Its the same on Pandemonium. Bastok was first a grand total of one time since release.

I like not being in first... Double conquest points... when fighting in non bastok areas.

Nothing's wrong with being in last. More conquest points = more money and most of the time the stuff that you get from the shops cost more then auction house. I heard of a few other good things about being in first, but I'd rather have more conquest points. I'm on server Ifrit..and bastok is ALWAYS last too...>,< Oh well, more CP as we've all said =P

Why does everyone want to be an elvaan (stupid baboon arms) or a midget taru? >.< I have started trying to organize EF quests to rebuild Bastok but no one ever wants too.

What level and rank do you have to be to participate in an EF? I would love to do one, but you might not want me since I'm a long-armed elvaan bastok citizen :p
