Ok I have Adelphia cable provider, which alot of people know, is the worst cable provider in America, yet the only option in many areas. My connection drops more then I'd like it to (and always at the worst times) and my beef is this... When you finally come back, your party is off fighting things and you're standing in a feild with bogys surrounding you and you're only a lvl 15 RDM. So you start running and running but those bogy's are QUICK and next thing you know you're dead. I think SE should add some sort of DC detection and when you jump back on from a DC, it'd be nice if nothing aggro'd on you for just a minute or two while you rejoin your party that may not have realized you DC'd

I disagree. It would let people that take on stuff much harder than they can handle escape death by purposely disconnecting.

I dont know what the service is like for your company but I used to have the same problem with time warner. When I told them exactly what the problem was and that I had already run RG6 from the distribution box on the side of the house, they came out and laid a fat new orange cable about 2" thick from the road to the house, and that fixed all my problems. The connection never dies now. It's probably the old cable from the road to your house that needs to be replaced. I would definitely run RG6 cable from the splitter or amp outside to your cable modem though, even that might make enough of a difference. You can buy that from lowes or radio shack, just dont use the regular coax, use the good stuff. Mitch |
