Been Forced to get a static party.

After the hell trip from lvl 47-50, its crazy competition between paladins on my server now in the 50's. So i found some ppl that kinda had a static group there was only 3 of them at the time, But i asked and they let me join and i got 2 more, heres the setup. PLD,DRK,THF,RDM,BLM,WHM , Sound pretty perfect? I know a bard would suffice for a rdm if needed but i like RDMS refresh alot better seems to help tons more. Neway The Exp goes very smoothly, I reccomend to neone that cant get a Party for nething to get a static party, I was against it at once too but i gave in ^^.

I would like to find a static party as well, but generally, if you have problems getting a regular party, there might be no way to get a static party (esp. if your log on times are wildly variable). My primary problem isn't the log on time issue, but rather, the fact that it takes me a very long time to gilfarm, so while I'm getting money for my next few levels or so, everyone else is xping and being done with it and have surpassed me so much that I cannot xp with them.

Hopefully that'll change once I can finally learn Refresh, then I don't have to rest.

Davir-40RDM/24BLM/22WHM (yes, I know, I also need to get my subs up too )

Its not the fact that people dont want me or i have bad rep or nething like that. Its just there is like 7 paladins my lvl on at all times it seems and not all of them are being used so half of them are seeking. Its jus hectic for PLDS for some reason.

I can relate, it was pretty hard doing genkai 1 and 2, time consuming, and deadly. A static party is a great idea - except - there are problems with that. ASSUMING everyone is always there to level with at the same time. ASSUMING everyone farms at the same time (very important for oops I got a lvl better lvl down to stay in the group). Then lastly, ASSUMING everyone likes eachother enough to stay with one another for those hours per day, it sounds great. If you cant meet all that critera, it makes it hard to have a static pt.

I find the Con, Party and leveling system in this game quite broken. "Not worthwhile's" kicking your butt is a joke. 2-3 level parties are even more funny. I really wish the devs could have found a better way to handle this. ><

I would get a static party, infact, I did have one, sortof. Then they all hit 50, I'm still sitting at 46. I guess its because I don't play during the week but...its gonna be hell. I was hoping to be 60 by the PS2 release (been plannin on full AF and standin outside Windurst handing out some freebies) but it doesn't look like I can gain 14 levels, do Genkai I and II, and my AF quests in 12 days.

Static Party = Same party members all the time.

How do you get one:

1) Join an ls;
2) Make some friends that agree to "go-static";
3) Venture out into the world, put up your party flag, and hope they want what you do.

I have a set (static) party of RNG THF PLD WHM BLM BRD, and forming it was the best thing I ever did on this game...

one thing i'd suggest is, make sure you're all friends.
(you don't have to be friends to begin with, but you should hope to become friends )
cos then if some of you need to take a break for a while (like you're going on holiday or something unexpected happens) then the others will be willing to wait for you.
you'll also help each other out as and when needed (farming, coffer hunting etc...)

what if you've formed a static party, but one day none of the other members are on... can you put your flag up and still be accepted into a different group... or can you only group with your static party:confused:

You can *only* party with your "static" party members. Thats the whole idea, to level together, adventure together, and farm together. So no you cant get into another party because if you do you will outlevel your static party members and effectively force yourself out of the static group.

Most static parties Have a set date during the week when they lvl, and dureing the week they lvl other jobs farm etc . do other stuff. usually static pt members will help each other netime its needed too. Its not like you cant do nething but stay with the exact same ppl, its mainly just for leveling your main job wihtout the hell of finding a pt and getting ppl to do what u want them to. thats IMO others may say differently.:p

Create your own parties. The days I don't do this I can be sitting in Jeuno for 7+ hours and not get one. Creating one I can have one setup after an hour or two depending on how many mages/tanks are LFG. There's so many damage dealers and they all know that their best way to get a party is to create their own, especially when there's 5 DRKs LFG. The ones who don't lose out. Static party is the way to go though, but this is the nest best thing.
