I've been visiting these boards for a very long time, so its the first place I thought of to ask for assistance. I'm looking to by a USB controller for FFXI, and would like any opinions and first-hand experiences you might have.

I'm between the:

• Gravis Eliminator Aftershock
• Logitech Dual Action
• Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Power / Dual Analog

I've heard mixed to poor reviews of the gravis and especially logitech, and heard nothing about the firestorm. I've used Sony's Dualshock 2 for 30 days /playtime and adore it, so I don't need people telling me to "just get an adaptor". Thanks though I specifically want to be able to fire macros with a controller button, because I'm too damned lazy to sift through for my Sneak Attack Rangeki and my /wait macro'd Boost. :sweat:

Try a nostromo gamepad...

I bought one and it has a pretty nice programmable utility.

Also, you can look for utilities that can help set up macros for gamepads...
