Horotuoto Chest Key

I was in a team the other day in East Satura and we went into the Outer Ruins to find me some Bone Chips (thourgh the cracked wall past the beetles)

As we wandered around me and a team mate found something called Horot-ObsureWindurstNamedDungeon-Chest Key dropped by a GOB.

I didn't actually get the key, somebody else in my LS did but I am curious where the chest we need to find is? We did find just past the gobs another door leading into another dungeon with much more powerful creatures in it and a small cluster of GOB all down one end of a long tunnel in our current dungeon which we could not safetly take on.

Any idea where this chest it or if there is anything around that cluster of GOBs?

Well there are two sets of horutoto chests, on in the Inner Horutoto Ruins, and one in the Outer Horutoto Ruins. IIRC, they use the same key.

The Inner one has Cougar Baghnakhs, some gil, or a gemstone. The Outer one was the Moth Axe, some gil, or a gemstone. On Midgardsormr, the CMoth axe is worth a heck of a lot more, since everyone and their brother gets the Cougars from Ghelsba.

If you do a search, there are probably 50-some site with treasure map spawns, but here's a link anyway.

The very first chest I ever found was in the Inner Ruins, I saw the chest between 2 blobs, but didn't have the key.

About 10 mins later by killing gobs out in the hall by the chest, I had the key.

Grats me on Moth Axe, aka 6k at the AH!

Remind me of the time I saw a chest in Delfutt's Tower. I had dropped my key along time ago, never thought I'd see a chest. Next day I got a key from a mob, but no chest. I was resting, complaining to my LS, then I went to target some mobs in the next room while I rested, and through the fog a Chest was targeted. Sweetness.

From low-level chests like that, garbage. Gemstones will be worth 600-1000 gil. Once you get into the nicer areas like eldieme, fei yin, etc. you have a chance at getting peridots, turquoise, etc.
