| Junior Member | Benchmark Problems with textures
i've got a problem with the benkmarch. in the first and in the second benchmark i can only see the sky but i don't see the ground and the objects on it such as tarutaru buildings trees... this is what i see but - in the first benchmark i got 5300 - in the second i got 2700(high) 3700(low) my computer settings are: motherboard: ASUS A7V600 processor: AMD ATHLONXP 2800+ ram: 1024mb video card: NVIDIA GEFORCEFX 5600 128mb agp8x somebody told me to download the directx9b (done) and the new drivers from nvidia's site (done) but i still have that problem what shall i do? is it a benchmark problem? ps: i'm italian and my english isn't very good... sorry |

May be a conflict with old drivers. I have an ATI video card and there is a way to do a clean driver install by erasing every trace of ATI files and registry entries. I'm sure you can do the same with Nvidia drivers. Actually from what I read is that it's easier for Nvidia. There is supposidly a program called Nvidia driver cleaner that does everything for you, try searching for it and see if it will help.

If the bench is the only thing you have problems with and not other games, then it's weird indeed. However... It might have been a while since you installed/reinstalled your computer. It fixes a lot of problems. I just did it 1 week ago when I got my new HDD and video card. If all else fails, this is something that you should at least think about doing. |
