Just a thought
Personally, I think people trying to make/build/join a clan before they even buy the game is pretty funny.

I see a hell of a lot of people trying to recruit for their clans before the game even hits North America. Absolutely no one can get the grasp of being assigned a random server upon startup.

And people are fickle anyhow. Even if they managed to get all their plebes onto one server, the peson who started the clan would have the clan fully assembled due to the fact that they'd start building the clan from the server they landed on the game at startup.

And I'm also assuming that many clans don't hold up long anyway. People are fickle! Am I wrong?

Sorry Decompiler, but peope always do start clans before any MMORPG is released, they have done it for about every single one. And, you really don't make any sense. Try speaking some ENGLISH, that might help. And clans just don't fall apart, they hold together, thats why they made the clan, TO STAY TOGETHER. There are only some clans that don't make it.

Sure, some clans may fall, and others will succeed. Basically, creating a clan before release gives you something to do/look forward to.
Plus, the development of the web site is fun, as it is something that will be slightly ignored upon the release. 4 hours improving the website, or play for 4 hours in the game.

I know the members of Gods Army are setting up our site for easy updates, and info for the pages, so we can communicate easily outside the game.

Plus, I need something to do at work where I cannot PLAY!!!..lol

Please help Fellow Americans Prepare for the USA release at http://www.godsarmy.tk/ THANKS!!!!

What decompiler is attempting to say, well at least one of them is that the servers that you get put on are random, and unless there is the glitch that allowed players to get on a certain server on the japanese version (which is very unproblable) the people in the clan will not know if they will even get to see each other online because they don't even know what server they will be on.

I should proofread my work
Has anyone else sat down and wrote something they think is in their best handwriting ro native language only to later read what you wrote and find out it didn't make sense?

Well, I did. I should have used better English.

Starting clans before a game is even out is a commendable act. It means that some players are so devoted to the game that they want to strt existing in the world before they even see it (compliment!). I guess I should confess that I want to dive head first into the world of Final Fantasy 11 without thinking. I'm so excited about the game that I want to be clan leader of my very own clan right now - at this VERY moment. I want to so badly to start playing my role in the game. I want to be part of the game's fantasy as soon as I can.

Here's where my beef comes in: my fellow future clam members I recruited off the web will most likely be assigned to another server from me at the beginning of the game. And I just know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my once fellow clans members will have already joined another clan by the time we're all reunited - IF we see each other again. That's what I meant by players being fickle. The very first time another player comes along asking them to join a clan different from mine - they'll jump ship and join the new clan. Of course if I had been kind and curteous and trustworthy then maybe there's a great chance they'd hunt me down and join back up with me. IF they were as devoted to the clan as I was.

In my opinion, the best way to recruit for a clan is to wait until I'm actually in the game and have been assigned a server my character starts from. That way I don't have to worry about culling my fellow clans members from far and distant servers. I can just gain the trust and friendship from players near me and in the same towns as I. And start up a clan from there.

I applaud players who want to form clans before a game is even released. I'm glad to see players as devout as I am twords Final Fantasy 11.

But people can be fickle! :p But I love you ALL!

It is only as simple as you interpret it; Fickleness is either the bane of humanity's existence, or it's grand virtue.

Shame on you, a 13 year old having to remind you what you already know; I merely state this because other than how I consider myself in the group of ''people'', you seem to speak despectatively fickleness, when indeed you seem to know nothing of it.

Without further notice I would like to also comment on how I meant no offense whatsoever, as I often come across on the pesky side.
