The tale of a broken keyboard...

Greetings all,

I figured I'd share my experience with this since I'm sure some of you can relate.

When I received my beta package in, I went out and purchased a new USB keyboard for my PS2 for $9.99. Little did I know that if you get a cheaper keyboard, the odds of it working are slim to none. The tale begins...

I just formed a new party in Jeuno and we were gonna hunt stuff for big exp. I collected some nice exp in the short time we were there, but all of a sudden my keyboard refused to work. While we were fighting enemies I would try to get my keyboard to work but after about 15 minutes I gave up and decided my keyboard...alas has finally broken.

As I was trying to type using my controller to message my party that my keyboard was broke, they ran off and found two Goblins. One incred (which also had a pet), and one tough and as I finally ran there they already provoked the enemy. All of sudden 1 person dies, then the 2nd person dies, then its RUN! RUN! RUN!.

As I'm running back to Jueno, I'm about prolly 10-15 steps away and the Gob gets 3 hits on me and I die. I looked at my keyboard, thinking I could have stopped this nonsense if I could have typed. I walked over to my PS2, unplugged the keyboard - stood up, lifted my knee, and in two swift bashings over my knee, the troubled keyboard broke into two separate pieces. I gathered everything in the palm of my hands and through it to the ground.

Moral of the story: Don't ever buy a Samsung Keyboard, no matter how cheap it is!

See, that's the reason why a lot of the Japanese people on the import servers don't like partying with evil importing ŠO?‘?ls because without communication the chances of unfortunate things happening is increased.

I remember one time we had an importer in our PT, and he kept trying to tell everyone else in his PT that he wanted to hunt sheep. The Japanese people kept saying no because sheeps have an ability to put everybody to sleep, allowing them to pick off members one by one while the rest of the PT is asleep.

Anyway, the importer attacks the sheep and we all fall asleep. Yay. The importer is the first to wake up and realizing that he's the only one awake, he runs around the PT in circles. Eventually everyone else wakes up, but right before that happened the importer starts running toward town despite it being half way across the map. We tried chasing him and the Japanese people kept telling him to turn back because we could have killed the sheep and saved him if we worked as a team, but the importer keeps running and running and eventually dies. Yay. Now the sheep comes back, puts us all to sleep again and kills two more guys. None of the mages have MP so the white mage uses his two hour ability and gets killed shortly after. Paladin uses two hour and manages to solo the rest of the sheep. PT disbands because that's the third time the importer got us killed during one sitting. The end.

oh that sucks... but did you seriously break your keyboard? maybe you could have taken it back to the store and to return or something.

I had a similar experience... I was playing WC3 with my RL friend when my keyboard stopped working. I quit the game (can't play without hotkeys, heheheh) and send him a message saying my keyboard was broken by copying letters one by one from files on my desktop and pasting them into AIM.

No, I wanted to break it...whats $9.99 refund anyway? The stupid keyboard was crap and it deserved to get smashed to bits. So anyway, I'm gonna go get one tomorrow I guess. I knew I was gonna break it eventually, my friends would come over and just see how crappy it was. Each time it screwed up, one of my buddies he would say "and now...out the window".

It was a matter of time, and the time was now. Or well, an' hour and a half ago. lmao
