My criticism stems from the fact that all the good / rare NM drop equipment is vastly overpriced due to the relentless JP botting. My Ochi's Kote was 700k, which is 300k higher than most servers. Jujitsu Gi = 225k, as opposed to the average of 150k on other servers.

Also, what I gather from the crafters in my LS is that prices on many items are frequently hiked up for periods. It just seems to me like we are at the mercy of the JP players.

im telling you dont have poor economy at all~!

Ochiudo's Kote = 1.4 milion
Jujitsu Gi = 2.8 milion

yeah prices have hiked in Garuda for a while, but now they are slowly falling , fire crystals peaked at 12k for a stack, but now their a more modest 6-8k (which helps my goldsmithing, and less farming) though they are still higher than they were in 2004, its the gill seller scenario which put the prices up majorly and I doubt they will recover as much as people wish them to.

fariy has fire crystals regularly at 13k since i started >.<, they arnt that hard to farm though imo even for new players.

I must admit I levelled up and bought my gear by selling fire and wind crystals as well as beehive chips from hunting maneating hornets on vomp hill in south gustaberg. It made me laugh one day that because I ahd Doublet +1 I was called a giull seller, the guy was a right noob to accuse me of that when he had a peacock charm and no sub job hmmmm, you think about that lol.

I remember a couple months back when i seriously played my friend said that gil was selling for something like $1 per million, but now that they've banned a ton of RMT's it's getting better.

Ummm... this thread is from 2004 and our economy has improved greatly since then, even after SE stopped the RMT price hikes during Xmas.

Crafting is actually bearable again.

Before the 700 RMT removal thing, O. Kote were up to 7 million gil for a while, thats just rediculous (On Garuda of course

) And things were rediculously priced other than that, but I do believe that removing the RMT solved a Huge amount of Garuda's (and probobly other servers too) problem.
