Place to download patches for FFX1/PoLViewer?

Is there a location I can download patches for FFXI/PoL Viewer that is not the PoL client? My campus internet is set up in such a way that I can download things off of the internet/ftp MUCH faster than through applications because of bandwidth throttling. My download speeds in the client are so slow that it sometimes times out after a while. However, based on experience in other games, if I can download updates to the client in other ways, I can get in game quicker.

Anyone know if there is a location to download patches for FFXI other than through the viewer/client?

Patches are distributed through POL only.

that makes me sad. I probably won't be done patching before my trial period runs out, hehe.
