No actually I like it when people are foolish enough to not use online resources. That way there are more great deals for me and they can go out to a "real" store and waste more money.

By the time I got him out of that phase, our credit union was hacked and his CC info along with 1000's of other members was stolen so they sent out letters to everyone and reissued cards...Just goes to show that not only are the internets not safe but neither are computers that store information lmao.

You can also buy a small "card swiper" and get cc info that way too. Just get a job (especially a restaurant) and swipe the persons card with it. It stores the info which you then d/l to your computer and after you have a list of names and numbers you can easily sell them. Ever wonder why they got those neat little self swiping machines at the checkouts? Thats why. Its also because the "old way" of doing it manually involving a carbon copy and paperwork was another easy way to steal your info. And as you've pointed out, your info isn't solely in your possession so it can get stolen in some manner from "brick and mortar" places too. I tend to steer away from places that are smaller niche type places. One of the things you can do is check out the website thoroughly. Go to the About Us section and see the name and address and then look it up on the Better Business Bureau site. If you can't find an About Us type of page or if its theres very little info about the company on it, don't buy from them. (Recently went to a website there was only a mission statement about the company. "We strive to bring out customers fair prices and fast service...blah blah blah but no info on the address, company president, how long they were in business, etc. I went to the BBB site and there was again little to no info. So I said screw it and didn't order what I wanted. My son on the other hand was more daring than I and he really wanted the item they had on special so he bought it anyways. A few weeks later he was at the bank closing accounts and getting new cards issued because his accounts were compromised. Now it could have been some other way but....) I do 90% of my shopping (other than grocery) online. I got in on it when it was just starting and I've been enjoying saving wads of money for years. I really don't want other people to catch on and have fewer deals for me damn it!!
