I resently got a new xbox 360. I logged into PlayOnline and found my Content ID's were cancelled due to the fact I hadn't played in months. I re-activated my account and content id's. I went to play FFXI but I had to re-install Play Online. I did that but used the Wings of the Goddess Expansion disc, because when PoL restarted it tried to install WotG but did not because FFXI wasn't installed first. I installed FFXI with the 1st three expansions no problem, downloaded all the patches and updates. Place the WotG disc in, it didnt ask to install WotG, instead it started FFXI but a msg said that "Theres no expansion data, you will not be able to access areas or content related to the expansions" I logged out of POL, and clicked Install >> Wings of the Goddess. It started to install but after 20 min it stops and says: "An error occured during installation. Canceling installation". I tried un-installing everything all over again and still it "Cancels installation" but JUST with Wings of the Goddess. I think the only way around this is to buy the 2008 collection with everything on one disc and re-install that. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas or anyone know how to fix this issue?

What order are you installing the expansions? FFXI -> RoZ -> CoP -> ToAU -> WoTG.

Maybe the 2008 collection will work too.

I recently had to install FFXI 3 times on different 360's and I've never ran into a problem like this. I also used seperate discs and not the 2008 collection...........though I really should just buy the darn thing. >< Make sure you are installing the discs in order of release.
