RotZ not installing right

So the other day my 7 year old PoS com finally died and I got myself a new, better one. After DLing the Vista PoL, free FFXI, torrenting the rest of the expansions and spending the better part of 8 or so hours installing and updating, I go to run the game and it's telling me RotZ isn't installed. Everything else works fine, I can access WotG, CoP and ToAU areas easily enough, I logged in with no problems and I know I had RotZ registered on my old com so I'm confused as all hell.

I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and reupdating RotZ but I still was told it wasn't installed. Short of uninstalling and reinstalling all of FFXI, any one got any ideas on how I can try to fix this odd little problem?

Uninstall it all. Seriously, the game is odd and installing CoP after a failed RoZ install is never going to let you install RoZ.

Also, why did you torrent it? Did you loose your install disks? Maybe there is a problem with the downloaded files.

Yea, lost my install discs a long time ago. And I didn't know there was an order to installing them, guess I know what I'm doing again tonight >_<

I question FFXI torrents. I would just buy the whole game pack or order it if I were you.

Maybe sometime soon, but I just dropped a lot of cash (somewhat) unexpectedly to get my new com so I'm trying to cut back on buying even more too fast. I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling everything and add the expansions in their right order this time. If that don't work I'll just buy the game again.

Update your antivirus and run it and spybot afterwards.

You could pick up one of those little trial starter discs from Gamestop. They have every expansion before WotG on them, and they cost maybe $2.

...forgot about those. I'll try and see if they have em by my Gamestop.
