Weird POL crash problem...

I just upgraded my GPU to an ATI Radeon HD 4870 and got everything working just fine! My graphics are great, the game looks better than it did even on my terrific 8600GT card (which I'm giving to my brother's new computer)...

...except now whenever I logout of FFXI and go back to the POL screen, POL simply crashes once the screen flips back to the desktop.

Oh right. Windows XP home w/ SP3, and Windower 3.41 enabled. Base res is 1440x900 with 2880x1800 background, max quality settings in reg & control panel, all the gfx goodies in FFXI are enabled and Windower Draw Distance is usually on 5.0. If any of that info helps..

Re: Weird POL crash problem...

Not sure if it's the standard Windower crash issue, but generally if you try to shutdown Windower 3.41 without first unloading all active plugins it'll crash every time. Something I'm sure they're working on a fix for at some point, it's been an issue for months but not a real dire one. You should be able to make a macro that will unload all your plugins(forgot the exact windower command) then /shutdown if it's a big deal to you, I just let it crash.

That explains a lot.

I wondered about that myself since mine does that too when I just /shutdown. I kinda figured it might be a Windower bug.
