Computer is crashing

I just got back to FFXI 2 nights ago. For some weird reason whenever I go to the character selection screen and select my character, my computer crashes. I have no idea why, and it was working fine back in March. I've tried full screen, windowed mode and different resolutions. The computer still crashes. I really want to get dancer, and I don't have WotG on my Xbox.

Did you try updating the graphics card drivers? There are certain issues with certain versions of drivers out there and you may have to update or rollback. Really is hard to say beyond a graphics card issue and drivers are the easiest thing to mess with.

Dumb Question: Is this a reinstall? If you redid everything, driver updates on a lot of system components may narrow down or solve the thing, as GrandMom suggested.
