Hiya,

I have just installed XI, gone through hours of updating software & purchased a content ID but when I get to the screen where I select a character the player freezes. When I look at the task manager it shows as not responding.

I've got a brand new Dell Inspiron Laptop with Vista.

Please can anybody help me? I've tried checking the files for playonline player & XI but there seems to be no corrupted files

Hi,

I've installed the Vista version of PlayOnline, is that the fix or am I missing something?

go into the FFXI config, and check the option under Misc

Simplified character creation visuals

if that does not work, update your video driver (not from dells site, but from the maker of your video cards site)

the video cards for laptops, have been known to not play friendly with FFXI sometimes ;p

Also make sure when you installed it that you followed the directions from PlayOnline exactly. If you didn't do that, you will have issues.

good ,a nd i think what you have said is so right , and i played that game for a long itme ,a nd i think that game can give me so much pleasure
