I could reallly (and by really I mean I'm begging..) use some help here. This is the problem: Monday this week I purchased FFXI 2008 collection, excited that I can finally play w/ my friend online on my computer (he has a ps3). I installed POL Viewer.. and after a lengthy registration... I finally get to log in! But my problem starts here, upon clicky the Log In, I'm taken to another screen that asks me to Connect.. So I clicky that too. It then begins to connect but as soon as it hits the "Verify PlayOnline ID and password" checkpoint... CRASH! And all I get to mark this event is a Windows error report. Its Fiday now.. lucky for that 30-day trial I'm not paying for this game YET. However I REALLY want to play, my friend is about to move and he doesn't have a computer, just his ps3, and he is obsessed w/ this game to the point of suicide Otaku.

Anybody seen it before? I've tried everything this week.. I've uninstalled reinstalled on different drives.. ran disk checks, defragged all my drives (the latter two being what POL's craptastic customer service reccomended) turned off or even uninstalled certain anti-virus software, even updated my Nvidia drivers after attempting a rollback, turned off all firewalls, even put my computer on the outside of the router temporarily to try.. All sorts of stuff, anything that sounded familiar like my problem, I've tried the fix.. but the medicine doesn't cure the aillness. Please help this is a really important thing to me >.<
I finally installed POL on my Dad's pc to check and it works fine on his.. but I can't play it on his! So will anyone help me out here? I will worship you like a tech savvy god!

I know I type alot but I'm just frantic for a fix... thank you for helping me, now give me answers
