I've read a couple threads concerning this issue but none really address my specific question.
I'm about to buy a new laptop and I am going back and forth between a vista 32 bit or a vista 64 bit system. Mainly because I want the extra ram and I know 32 bit only goes to around 3g of ram. Is there any issue FFXI has specifically with vista 64 bit that I should take into account?

I'm not positive, but I think 32-bit software shouldn't have a problem running on 64-bit Windows operating systems. I think the problems only begin when you try to find 64-bit drivers for your various hardware devices...
So, FFXI, the game itself, should be fine. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-18-2008, 02:33 PM | #6 (permalink) | Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: In My Mog House Posts: 121 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 17 Thanked 5x in 3 Posts Gil: 12,137 Bank: 1 Total Gil: 12,137 Donate | Re: FFXI on vista 64 bit?
