If it's your PC (if it hangs) one of the first things you gotta check is for your Processor's fan to be working correctly.

But yeah if it happens only with XI then it's gotta be something else. Sanctuary of Zi'tah! "In this world, the one who has the most fun is the winner!" I know the question was asked....but I didn't see a clarification on it. Does the entire PC "freeze" forcing you to reboot or does the download "hang" leaving you with the ability to enter the task manager, from which you would stop the process?
....on a related note, do you have any problems downloading large amounts of data for extended periods of time from other sources? Doesn't this really say it all? >< | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-06-2007, 05:52 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 7 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 248 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 248 Donate | Re: PC Freezes The entire computer hangs, and I havent had problems with anything else | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-06-2007, 06:09 AM | #7 (permalink) | | The S.E.E.S. I have no idea who the hell would tell you to use glue on your PC as anything more than a (very expensive) practical joke, but there shouldn't be any glue in your PC. | Quote: | | When I first did the balance tests, the machine actually mocked me. Are you running FF with XP or Vista? And if it's Vista. Did you download the Vista client from Playonline?

Its a 320 gb sata drive, and apperntly sata drives are prone to this sort of problem. Im going to try reinstalling it on my 2ndary IDE drive and see if it works.

It happens once every while, unless i restart my pc.
When i start up FF11 it crashes back to the playonline ff11 menu.
Any ideas? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-08-2007, 05:00 PM | #15 (permalink) | | Altanaの戦士 Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Fenrir Server Posts: 2,492 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 116 Thanked 265x in 161 Posts Gil: 413 Bank: 33,262 Total Gil: 33,675 Donate | Re: PC Freezes Does it give you any messages or just crashes? And how far into the loading process does it go before crashing.
PS > Congrats on getting it fixed the first time, I had the same problem but had to reinstall the OS altogether because I got a massive disk error. It seems S-ATAs are very unreliable.
