Couple quick questions...
These are probably answered somewhere, but I just figured I'd ask and get them answered real quick here.

I installed PlayOnline, and FFXI/Rise of the Zilart expansion from my old discs, but I am not making a content ID until tomorrow. I hear it takes a while to patch the game, so I was hoping to do it tonight, but is it impossible to do so without first puchasing a content ID?

Also, my friend is buying the game tomorrow, and wanted to know if PlayOnline is downloadable to get that ready tonight.

And I thought I read a while back that they got rid of world passes and you can now just choose whatever server you want. I may be wrong. Probably will find the answer to this before I get an answer here, but it's just extra.

Thanks.

Re: Couple quick questions...
1. no it's not impossible, but you do have to register first. POL should auto-patch the first time you run it. To patch FFXI, start POL and there should be a button to "Check Files." Click that and select FFXI (after you've installed it of course). It should start updating.

2. Nope.

3. Yes, you can now choose whatever server you want.

Thanks for the reponse.

Unfortunately, I went into Check Files, and the only options available to me were POL Viewer and Tetra Master. I installed FFXI and everything, and all I ahve to do to play is buy a content ID, so I assume I've done everything I can for now. Any ideas?

Re: Couple quick questions...
Nevermind now. A day passed and I got my content ID taken care of and in the middle of patching.
