Or perhaps someone else here will know what it is. | Quote: | | and on the second system it tells me that the card I'm using is invalid (the exact details as I put in to the first system) | I've had this problem when using the same credit card for multiple accounts (mine, wife's, and 2 mule accounts). The game won't let you use the same credit card for more than one account for so unknown amount of time. Not to say you can't use it to pay for more than one account. But you have wait at least an hour after changing one account to that CC before using it on another. I don't know why it is this way.
EDIT: Found the error info on this site. pol error: 1153 Last edited by Necropolis : 07-18-2007 at 06:31 AM. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-18-2007, 06:24 AM | #3 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 19 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 5 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 187 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 187 Donate | Re: Update problems More details:
The first system crashes on different files, and its not getting further, ie the first crash was at 75, second at 80, third at 32 and the fourth at 20.
Ok, how much money does it try to take out, for the first month (the free one)?
Also the error text is: Problems with the HDD data were detected. Version update failed. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-18-2007, 06:28 AM | #4 (permalink) | | anti-spam Super Moderator Join Date: Jan 2004 Posts: 5,535 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 22 Thanked 64x in 59 Posts Gil: 40,782 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 40,782 Donate | Re: Update problems system specs would be INVALUABLE
POL-1153 is a connection error. Check your network and if all seems fine, try again at a later time. POL is a bit flaky for some people (depending on your network provider). | | ::Quote Selected:: | | The following user says "Thank You" to neighbortaru for above post: | | | 07-18-2007, 06:29 AM | #5 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 19 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 5 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 187 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 187 Donate | Re: Update problems It'll be the network then, it crashes when anything 1 bit (or so :D) is sent over it
The card problem is because there is no money left in account, for some reason playonline is trying to take money. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-18-2007, 06:37 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 19 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 5 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 187 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 187 Donate | Re: Update problems Specs:

2) the Intel 950 might not be compatible with the game. have you tried running the ffxi benchmark to see if it'll work?
3) not enough harddrive space on any of the systems to install the game, much less update | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-18-2007, 06:45 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Texas Posts: 776 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 11 Thanked 126x in 92 Posts Gil: 17 Bank: 2,590 Total Gil: 2,608 Donate | Re: Update problems Originally Posted by Tercka | | The card problem is because there is no money left in account, for some reason playonline is trying to take money. | When a company verifies a purchase, they do so by authorizing a charge.
