My advice, stay away from anything that's "shared" memory for video cards. And getting a good laptop to play FFXi under 750$ is not going ot be easy.

some of the newer GMAs support TnL, the older ones don't though. Make sure it supports hardware TnL and you should be fine.

I'd wait a bit on a new laptop, they will start selling laptops with XP again.

Is what it said.

The Dell looks nice, with Home Premium,
-15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen WXGA+ Display with TrueLife,
-1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHZ, 2 DIMM(Or upgrade higher if you have spare money left, I would do it.)
-Size: 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM) or 100GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) (Depending on money, but i'd say 80 GB isn't a lot, looking at what games these days require, the 120 GB seems fine as well though, and it's including in price.)
-24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive (Unless you burn movies often, then it's definetely worth the 40 dollar extra it costs.
-Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™HD Software Edition (IF you have a good speaker surround set, otherwise the normal Audio Hardware that is included in price works just as fine. On the other hand, only 25 euro extra for a really good hardware piece. For now, I chose the normal one.)
-The Wireless broadband hardware is all up to you. I don't think it's required for using WLAN, I think a WLAN adapter is build in already, you have to look this up though.
-85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (Well, the more the better? Also depending on your own enviroment and uses though.)
-From here, a lot of accessoires is all of own choice/usage ofcourse.
-Intel PRO/Wireless 3945a/g (Unless you want to get a WLAN card of your own, or none even. I think in any case you should get one though, and since it's important why not one of at least some quality?!)
-More accessoires. I liked the special Quicksnap covers, perhaps you know better ones to get somewhere though. The Microsoft Office/Works things look a little bit of a waste, if you want to get MS word and such, I'd say get a normal Office package, maybe from friends or so? The software packages after this all look worthless to me. VirusScan is important, but you might have some software already.
-GPS Navigator? Games? Education Software? All worthless to me.
-Oh Warranty is next, hmmm. You could use the 4 Year In-home service, or the 3 Year one to make the price 90 dollars cheaper, I did that.
-More worthess stuff.
-I'd say NO at the ISP stuff, or you will probably get a lot of advertising in your Laptop/Mail, and you probably already got a ISP.
-More worthless stuff.

Well, this was me going through it, talking about my own choices. I scrapped most of all the stuff, most of the things are just nice to play with, such as the GPS system and TV tuner, but sometimes it's better to reconsider, since you might end up never using it.

$1,136
As low as $35/month

That's what I got to. I'm not sure when that happened, I thought I kept it at 900 dollars.

Re: i am looking to get a a pc, laptop i play on ps2

The V6000Z series looks good, apart from the Microsoft Works part i'd say. "Works" often include a lot of programs such as photo software, or an atlas, that you might never use. You might want to get "Office" instead, for Word, Excel Access and such? I don't know what you thought about when getting Works though!

Oh and what's the price?
