Ok... so this has happened 4 times to me tonight.

I'd be playing normally, when all of a sudden my camera will freeze. I can do everything else in the game normally, move, macro, menu, everything, except the camera will not follow me anymore, and just stay constant, while my character moves all over the screen. Has anyone experienced this before?

This happened to someone, bbq I think, before. It was kinda funny, it was in phominua, the screenshots looked kinda Resident evil-y. If you can, make movies out of it, we'd love to see it.

Yeah, I was laughing at first because it WAS funny..... but after the 5th time last night, even during partying, it was annoying. I really don't feel like calling a GM about it.

I couldn't even take screen shots. I tried to, but when I looked in both directories, nothing was there.

I'm going to run a file check right now just in case.

I'm going to assume you're using something your not, I'd say close out of it, and try connecting to play online normally (not to discuss here). If that dosn't fix your problem, you could have a corrupted file someplace causing the camera to not see your character anymore.

I thought the same thing you did... I just didn't want to mention that first, lol...

I also tried the normal SE's POL... same thing. So it's not that.

I also ran a file check already... and the results were negative. Nothing was damaged. I ran it a 2nd time, same thing.

If you can get a video, or a screenshot of it, that'd really help (because I havn't seen this problem first hand, it's kinda hard to picture it). The only thing I'd say to do, is reinstall and start over (ffxi), normally fixed any problems I had. But, then again, I'm a reinstall freak, so, meh.

Speaking of which, I need to reinstall XP again, about that time, hitting the 6mo mark.

Anyway, like I said before, when I hit the screen shot button, the pictures wouldn't appear in either directory. It's as if I wasn't taking the shots at all.

Besides, there is nothing to take a picture of. Just imagine your normal playing... and then your view just freezes, yet your character still runs around. :-P

I was playing yesterday and today, and so far so good.
